Another Epoch for #Monomad Challenge

Epochs now fit into years. It was the epoch of covid, the one that preceded the epoch of war. August 5, 2021, I got up early in the morning and rode the bike to the Neva River in the hope that old Saint Petersburg would appear in all its beauty in the rays of the morning sun.

A brig with scarlet sails was moored to the embankment, almost no one in the streets. Asians from a foreign country (Chinese students?) unexpectedly appeared in the role of fishermen.

I saw that they snatched a fish, a big one, sparkling in the sun. I immediately took an image with my 70-300mm from a distance.

Then, I showed them a rectangle with my finger, meaning that I would like to photograph them. And the happy fishermen, realizing the justification of my interest, approached me to give me an opportunity to take a close-up.

A few minutes later, I thought destiny gave me another present, a seal - they live in the nearest sea!

Wasting no time, I took some quick images.

I had come across seals on Ladoga Lake, you must act quickly, there may not be the second chance to take an image.

I checked images on my camera and felt disappointed. It was not a seal... It was a man in a wet suit swimming in the city river at 7 a.m...

I followed the well-known route.
