A week of birthday celebrations

My daughter and I share a birthday week and this one was full of celebrations, love and the both of us being spoiled rotten! 💗

The week started on Monday, on my 26th birthday. My partner and kids blessed me with amazing presents and singing in the morning, how lucky can one girl be!

My Grade 3 learners and their parents shocked me with an amazing surprise party. I was absolutely delighted when I entered my class, the kids singing, balloons and flowers decorating the classroom and a table filled with all of these heartfelt presents.

You can see I have the cat class, with all the cat themed prezzies and cupcakes!

In South Africa we have All Gold tomato sauce and years ago, when we were growing up, there was funny advert showcasing that there’s 36 tomatoes in a bottle. The night we went out for dinner. The restaurant, Blackwoods, gifts you with a Snail Trail that you have to drink with a straw. It’s basically all types of Sambuca and a surprise Stroh rum shocker at the end! I tasted rum and raison for another day afterwards!

I was blessed two days after my 24th birthday with my eldest daughter. She turned 12 this year. Her morning started with bacon and French toast, with presents in bed.

After school the girls had an outing to Goddess Café, who is known for their pink, flowery décor, loaded milkshakes and gorgeous cakes.

Linda wanted an ice-skating party with her closest girlfriends. There were a few bruised knees in between and even a spit lip, but she is a pro on the ice and gracefully skated to her heart’s content.

Luckily the ice rink rents out these penguins to help less experiences skaters, therefor everyone was able to enjoy a few rounds on the ice, no matter how shaky they were!

My mother baked her cake, her favorite color is teal, therefor it was a blue vanilla cake with caramel and buttercream icing. Yummy!!!

We ended the evening with pizzas, milkshakes and further celebrations at Panarottis pizza. We got home late on Thursday evening with full hearts, able to put our feet off, after an amazing, fun-filled day with our loved ones and her closest friends!
