Some fun with Negatives

Since I've been re-engaging with film photography I've discovered that I have been doing something bizarre like actually collecting developed film. One of the more interesting things about 120 sized film is that it's pretty big, substantially larger than 35 mm film.

So, what to do... what to do?

I also have this photography themed lamp. I put this together myself with a broken brownie. And a lamp, of course.

I found an "antique like Edison themed" lightbulb that really fit the theme of this home made lamp. I like it, but it's really, really, really bright. Like, blind yourself when you look at it kinda bright.

And then, quite suddenly, a light came on in my mind! An idea! Eureka!

I found a lamp shade cage...

... added some developed 120 film ...

... and voila! A new super-duper-awesome developed film lamp shade!

So, what do you do with your developed film?

Yep! Eureka! 😂Thank you! Now that I've spent a couple of days looking at it I think I can improve on it, but for right now I'm really happy with it.

WOAH! I sometimes use my film as a filter for my digital camera.

Now that's a neat idea! I've got a handful of other ideas for lens modifications for my digital; I might need to add this one to them, too.

I'm working on it! Or planning it. Or at least thinking about it. :) I have antique finds to share if nothing else! And Frogs of War updates. And some Halloween projects. I've been busy behind the curtain!
