Saturday Night at the Meadery

A few weeks back @galenkp and I shared a small discussion on the gloriousness that is honey fermented mead. It really is an amazing drink, and more amazing to think that we as a people have devised a way to turn an insects regurgitated foodstuffs into an exquisite beverage with such a variety of flavours. Long live the honey bee.

Liquid Alchemy Beverages is not your Viking forefathers meadery. The wizards behind this factory of alchemy have found ways to do things with honey beyond using it as a sweetener or lubricant. These folks really, really know what they're doing.

The ambience and decor of the meadery itself is quite fun. The building is a converted garage located in an industrial area that now houses a sitting area in the front and the magic mead making in the back.

The decor is really eclectic and I like it. It more than matches the location and keeps the internal view quite interesting. More than once a newcomer will spend several minutes looking about that the various baubles and knick-knacks adorning the walls and tables.

I like that they use skeletons as decoration pieces. That does my heart proud.

As great as the decor is, however, I have yet to enter any form of watering hole to gaze at and appreciate the ambience. Bring on the booze!

Mead is some potent shit. You wouldn't realise just how much of a hit that simple honey can give until you've ingested it in liquid form.

On the Platter

Just as beer and wine have different colours, mead also comes in a variety of colours depending on the ingredients put into it. Unlike "traditional" beer and wine, mead can be flavoured from a variety of sources. Personally, I think that a good part of the enjoyment of mead stems from the presentation.

I started with a flight of four with the following names:

  • Currant-Lee - 12.5%
  • Red, White, and Blueberry - 6.75%
  • First Flower 2022 - 6.75%
  • Black-302 - 12.5%

After enjoying those four samplers I finished off with a full glass of Bee-Zap, which is distilled only once per year.

Not a one of these was bad. In fact, they were all superb, though my favourites were definitely the Current-Lee, Red, White, and Blueberry, and the Bee-Zap.

The Currant-Lee, the darkest in colour, was interestingly the lightest in taste and the most 'refreshing.' This is something I could see me drinking while sitting by a pool on a hot summer day. This particular mead had a heavy black-currant flavour and definitely sweetened the taste.

The Red, White, and Blueberry was also nice and refreshing. Very light and sweet from the flavouring of a number of different berries. It sources honey from New Jersey, but it's tasty enough that I can forgive it for that.

The last of the five meads of the night was a full glass of the Bee-Zap. Liquid Alchemy only produces this one once a year, and it did not disappoint. In addition to honey, the ingredients to add flavour include hibiscus, lemon, pineapple, ginger, and vanilla. It's quite an eclectic collection of ingredients, reminiscent of how they decorate their establishment, and it works. It was definitely worth waiting the year for this one.

If you ever find yourself in northern Delaware, hit me up and we'll go get a mead. You won't be disappointed.

The operators doing V2K with remote neural monitoring want me to believe this lady @battleaxe is an operator. She is involved in the same discord groups around @fyrstikken and friends. Her discord is Battleaxe#1003. Shes in some groups with seemingly detached characters that dont even acknowledge the others in the group, looking oddly staged. She starts projects and does nothing with it or the delegations after its used to sway people. Like @steempowertwins does<------fake along with her @teamgood <------fake. No substance in her comments and has a following that adores her for what? Life coach she is not nor is she insightful with any meaningful skills to follow. Ruler of pixie dust maybe? I would like for someone to show me but probably wont out fear maybe? @fyrstikken groups around him down voted me into censored and not viewable on my accounts as soon I told what they were doing.
I cant prove @battleaxe is the one directly doing the V2K and RNM. Doing it requires more than one person at the least. It cant be done alone. She cant prove she is not one of the ones doing V2K because she cant and could care less. I guarantee she knows this is going around and still wont prove it because she cant. Many of us here can prove what they have been doing to survive the past 5 years. What does she live off of? It definitely isnt in public view here.

I was drugged in my home covertly, it ended badly. They have been trying to kill me using RNM with applied V2K mental games while revealing as many accessories to the crime as they can. I bet nobody does anything at all. Ask @battleaxe to prove it. I bet she wont. Pretty serious accusations to just blow off and leave the crypto community hanging in fear of this danger.

They want me to believe the V2K and RNM in me is being broadcast from her location. And what the fuck is "HOMELAND SECURITY" doing about this shit? I think stumbling over their own dicks maybe? Just like they did and are doing with the Havana Syndrome. They should start by looking at the communications between the top witnesses of Hive and the connection to @fyrstikken groups. Google his fucking name and see where his other interests lie around at least once maybe? The connections between @fyrstikken groups and all the exchanges built for Hive? Bet that would reveal some crazy ball less nutty shit. Homeland security should start preparing for their own incarcerations seeing how sloppy this was done. Patriot act my ass. Think we are really fools? Bad position your not getting out of. Dont be last to blow the whistle. Who will protect you?

People in and around @fyrstikkens groups are reckless and should have shown the proper media what they had before taking me hostage for 5 long torturing years and counting. That is a long time to wait for someone to die.

What would you say while having a gun pointed at your head from an undisclosed location? Have people find it? My hands are tied while they play like children with a gun to my head. Its a terrorist act on American soil while some yawn and say its not real or Im a mental case. Many know its real. This is an ignored detrimental to humanity domestic threat. Ask informed soldiers in the American military what their oath is and why nothing is being done. Nobody has I guess. Maybe someone told ill informed soldiers they cant protect America from military leaders in control that have ill intent. How do we protect locked up soldiers prevented from telling the truth from being treated as criminals? Not to mention civilians we let our leaders treat the same way. https://ecency.com/fyrstikken/@fairandbalanced/i-am-the-only-motherfucker-on-the-internet-pointing-to-a-direct-source-for-voice-to-skull-electronic-terrorism-terrorism

Thank you for this positive enhancement of my working day, albeit vicariously. I'll take it.

Legit looking place! When I'm in Delaware I'm definitely imposing upon you...I blame you, it was your idea. We'll mead-it-up together. Talk about epic.

Absolutely! It'll be on me, right down to the food truck parked outside and the cinnamon infused mead with whipped cream and ginger snap for dessert!

Very cool place, always love to see small scale business still alive in the USA. I don't drink anymore, but I can remember back in my Colorado days, an Ethiopian restaurant in Denver that served homemade mead wine, not sure how similar it is to viking preparations but definitely a drink of the ancients.

It's certainly not an incredibly popular drink, but it's always nice to come across a place that has it. My daughter introduced me to mead. She's also always hunting down local wineries when we roadtrip anywhere, too.
