Troubles of a single mum

I was on the phone with a friend and my 2 year old walks up to me saying "mummy I want to talk to Daddy" because he heard a male's voice. my friend pretended and played the role of daddy for a bit. there are other scenarios where he'll walk up to me requesting to see his dad or he randomly would call other men daddy even in pictures.

I live with my parents and my son's father lives in a different city from us. My son has only met his dad twice. the first time was when he was born and the other was when he was 8 months old.

As a single mum, it bothers me that my son would not get to have the Daddy and son relationship like I did growing up. I used to be a daddy's girl always playing with his hair and beard, sitting on his neck, him spinning me around, and a lot of other memories.

sometimes I wonder what he thinks about his dad, I wonder how confused he is when we correct him that grandpa isn't daddy or he shouldn't call strangers daddy. I grew up with both parents so I have no idea what children that didn't get to experience their parents together feel.
