I'm A Picture Thief and Can't Sleep Without My Mist

At night time, my routine is set to make me wake up with ease in the morning. I try to put as much as I can in order before I call it a night because I tend to worry about things left undone and that doesn't let me sleep.

Before or after my bath routine, I'd clear the kitchen a bit, quickly sweep if there's a need to, and check that the doors are locked. I then drink water, turn off the light switches and go to bed.

After a bath, I clean my face with rosewater and glycerin and moisturise (this has helped with enlarged pores). I follow with a body mist that makes my husband want to lick my skin 😉 and makes me wake up feeling good.

I barely ever fall asleep immediately because it's either I'm talking to my partner or I'm scrolling on my phone. When I'm not using my phone, I'm pondering on thoughts or struggling to not think of anything and just sleep.

The picture on my phone's homepage is an art I came across on twitter. I don't know who did it but I loved it as soon as I saw it. Every time I come across a photo I like, I tell the author how much I appreciate it and I leave a 'I'm so using this as my wallpaper' comment. It absorbs me of the guilt I feel taking someone else's picture. A part of me feels it's wrong, maybe it's just me 🤷‍♀️

I liked this picture because it exudes power. I love me a powerful woman and this picture motivates me to be the person I want to be. I pick up my phone sometimes and stare at this picture, it's almost as if I get a new interpretation each time. Sometimes she's weak and her eyes show the depth of her agony, but she's a strong woman every time.

I've had her on my screen for a few months and I'm only going to change her when I come across another mind boggling picture.

IT's so amazing how a smartphone become an extension and representative of our lives. It stores our most precious pictures and interests, our link to our friends. We frequent looking at this marvelous technology so why not put a motivational wall paper on the Home page. Some of us need that kind of reminder to focus and reach for our goals.
