Analyzing February With HiveStats

Happy month of March everyone! It's my favourite month because it's my birth month and it's also my mum's birthday today (March 1). I never have stuff going on on my birthday but the idea of it being my month is a vibe.

This year, I have one wish for my birthday and I already told my partner that's what I want for a birthday present. Send me some Leo and I'm good! I'm dead serious. I have a goal of getting 500 Leo in 6 months but it's looking bleak right now 😕

The fastest route is to ask for it and I think @belemo is relieved because he doesn't need to stress about what to get me. So it works for both of us. I also had a hard time thinking about what to get my mum for today and it was only hard because I now live in a different city. My mum likes cash gifts so it was a no-brainer.

I didn't think I made enough money last month to be sending gifts but I checked my February stats on hivestats and I was wowed. It wasn't a good month but looking at my overall performance lets me know it isn't as bad as I thought.

This is my first time using hivestats so I was very excited about how I can easily analyze my hive account at a glance. What I thought was a bad month got me a total of $139 from author and curation rewards. I also got 7.5 HBD interest on my HBD savings.

My account hive power grew at a slow and steady pace and there wasn't a powerdown which is good being that I didn't earn a lot in the first place.

I had no idea how much post rewards I earn on the second-layer tokens and I was happy to see I got $27 last month on hive engine. I could also see that my overall post rewards on hive engine so far is $198. Now that's impressive considering most of the time I simply use tags and post majorly from the peakd front-end.

A good or bad month is relative but I'm grateful for the fact that I earn way more than the minimum wage in my country even on bad months. This isn't even my total earnings as my SPS earnings aren't included here.

My recent job hunting misadventure and February hive analytics makes me appreciate hive more today and I'm grateful for the privilege of being here. It's gonna be a good month! LFG!!!
