Hello to all readers of the #HiveGaming community, today I would like to finally share my decision to test the game Albion Online, I thought of reducing this post by dividing it into a few parts, however I gave up the idea and left all the content in summary form here, the reason I check this game was through the constant numerous advertisements about the game, who never heard the phrase:

"Albion Online is a SandBox MMORPG where you write your own story rather than following a predetermined path. Explore a vast open world consisting of 5 unique ecosystems. Everything you do has an impact on the world.

But what is Albion Online? I will sum it up simply in case you haven't received this advertisement of introduction yet, which I think is impossible, Albion Online is: An open world MMORPG developed by Sandbox Interactive. It is a sandbox style game where players have the freedom to explore a vast world, engage in PvP combat, collect resources, craft items, and build and manage their own settlements. The game stands out for its player-driven economy, where players are responsible for creating and trading all items in the game, it also features an unrestricted class system, which means that players can completely customize their character's skills and play style.

Cooperation and competition are key aspects of Albion Online. Players can join guilds and participate in epic guild battles, conquer territories and fight for control of important resources. There are also PvE activities available, such as dungeons and challenging bosses, Albion Online was designed with a focus on cross-platform play, which means that the if you want you can play it on PC, iOS and Android, and they all share the same server, unlike some popular games where the servers are different from the Desktop to Mobile version, this allows for a diverse community and a persistent gaming experience.

Creating my character and starting points in Albion

IMG_2824.png

Of first moment is presented a simple but friendly interface for the introduction to character creation, I particularly liked the minimalist details beyond the well-structured graphics although it is not something so realistic, that is the whole environment can be called a very detailed polygon, I would summarize these words in a great combination by the artists responsible for designing the game, first of all I always like to read articles, watch Youtube channels that contain information about the game, and I found that in Albion Online you do not have predefined classes as examples Knights, Mages or Archers that will only fulfill that specific mastery, here you can create almost anything you want, how about a Fighting Mage? A cleric assassin? Or even a Farmer with magic powers and able to cut firewood, everything is possible thanks to the great diversity that the game offers, I liked this central idea since I played a lot of Tibia and still waiting for a decent version for mobile devices (damn TibiaMe), the idea of the player to follow any path he wants without having the classic penalty that if you want to switch to another must just create a character gold totally from scratch, or in PayToWin games we have some options to change just by withdrawing some money from the pocket.

First you are introduced to an isolated island, all the main base mechanics of the game is presented in the form of Main Missions, this allowed me to know a little of the main weapons and equipment and prepare myself for a possible final choice to follow, before I forget I chose to create a character based on Thorfinn - Vinland Saga, with this in mind I added a name as pulled for this as possible and ended up being ThorfinnFinnthor, I started mining some basic materials such as wood and raw metal to create my first equipment, not necessarily this is mandatory to follow the careers of collector or equipment manufacturer, I could simply buy what was needed just by opening the Central Market which by the way is quite busy, this made me realize that the economy of the game is still good to be focused on long-term as a collector.

After this first part you do not have total freedom so to speak, the island is almost restrictive and we have few goals in it, however after all this learning process we can advance better and choose our first city.

IMG_2828.png

I got my first mount by the way, it is not something aesthetic just for cosmetic products or something, I like games that really make use of it, it increases my movement speed thus reducing the locomotion time from one place to another, and believe my friend the doll when it is overweight it seems that it is just crawling like a human slug, With this I discovered that the mounts besides serving well for the purpose of increased speed, they also increase the amount of weight I can carry with my character, I do not necessarily need to be mounted on the horse as an example, I just need to have it equipped in some slot available in my inventory and the effect is already being used.

IMG_2835.png
IMG_2832.png

As previously mentioned my character will be based on Thorfinn, with that in mind I want to create a character that contains the ability to use multiple daggers in hand and have a good escape or attack speed commensurate with that, as in Final Fantasy XVII mastery skills can be acquired through the use of the equipped weapon, this opens up a wide range of options to be used, to become a dagger user first I needed to go the distance bow way, I confess that in all MMORPGS or just RPGs that I try to play the class that least calls my attention or the one that if possible I leave as the last use is ranged attackers with bows, I played a lot of Ragnarok and never got the enthusiasm to use one of the best classes for Farm in the game, I find them easy for general in-game objectives but weak in group related content such as dungeons, PvP events or Guild Wars, and I assure you that if you play as a shooter in Ragnarok you already understand that you only participate in these things if you are among friends.

Becoming a ranged hunter

IMG_2840.png

I chose a city in the mountains to start with, this is due to the fact that as an animal skin collector I don't want to dispute territory with other players for the purpose of looking like I want to duel against them, that would be very bad since if I do If I lost the battle my items could be looted, although they were considered starter items I acquired them with the effort of crafting them all, and losing that would be the same as wasting all that time mining, collecting skins and chopping wood. My first challenge was facing some renegades in the cold mountains of the continent, they weren't that difficult when you were at a good distance or just a small group of 1~3 enemies, more than that I started to have problems due to the lack of stamina and mobility due to penalty of using bow and arrow.

BF3468B9-2B80-4E5A-AF40-65BC2C43C46A.gif

I would like the GIF not to lose so much quality after publishing on Hive, I will try other better tools, maybe that's it. As you can see, gameplay on the part of battles in Albion Online is surprisingly active, this is something that caught my attention a lot for the flexibility and diversity of attack combinations that the player can enjoy, in addition to the great intelligence behind the programming of NPC monsters already that they can also use this in their favor using skills, while I was battling renegades who used swords and axes I was very calm with my combat, after I distanced myself a little from the Safe Zone I ended up facing enemies stronger rebels like Fire Mages who managed to defeat me twice, luckily I ended up dying in an area out of the way of other players which prevented my inventory from being looted by others, and thanks to these deaths I really started to use the system from Bank City which in addition to being able to store equipment, it also allows me to store materials and resources in general, well, one less concern.

939AC9AA-2E02-4B1E-9D20-AA7F0B7E65F1.gif

The system of his dungeons is very detailed and so little confusing, you can follow numerous paths that in the end will always reach a room with a boss, a great important point that I would almost forget to emphasize in the post is that It has a system of automation of battles, this is simply wonderful. All MMORPGS lovers know that this automation process ends up breaking the economy of the game thanks to the numerous players of bad faith that create numerous accounts to collect resources and sell them for a price much lower on the market, this will not affect at all your sale since although the price is small it is being sold in large quantity, on the other hand the honest trader ends up having his sale stuck and is forced to lower the price to finally sell the product, want an example of this? Play Dofus.

In general the game attracted me a lot and I still do not understand why I was ignoring it all this time, perhaps by the fact that many games advertised in advertisements that I visited could be considered horrible or nothing referring to the ad, but this game is simply fantastic, I ended up finishing my playthrough creating a simple dagger and torch to hold and completing some repetitive dungeons just to accumulate some amount of money for future equipment purchases, I do not wish to become a maker or creator as I mentioned, I prefer to focus on the pure gameplay of battling the enemies. Possibly we will have a second part to this gameplay.
