Thailand - the land of Golden Temples
Traveling is always bringing me special feelings when I have a chance to explore the people, culture, and foods there. Even traveling in my country or foreign countries, it always helps us to understand about the culture of that lands. I had seen Thailand on the television many times and be impressed by its cultural specificity. Therefore, I took a short trip with my friends to Thailand to get a chance to see everything with my eyes.
I arrived in Bangkok - the capital of Thailand and stayed there for three days before heading to Pattaya. The first impression is people are very friendly and kind. We got a bit struggle with finding a way to our backpacker, luckily people who live near showed us the way to get our place.
In Bangkok, you can easily get to your desire destination by many transportations like Skytrain (the most convenient way), taxi (Grab), tuk-tuk and bus. For tuk-tuk I think you should try once time, that'll be a nice experience in Thailand where we are supposed to try as much as we can. Even Tuk-tuk is the most significant transportation and became one of an icon of Thailand.
On this trip, we visited few famous destinations which are recommended by many people. The first is the Grand Palace, which was built in 1782, is a historic architectural complex with numerous connotations in Thailand. For 150 years, this was the home of the King and the royal family. The Grand Palace's outside is created in Thai style although Thailand's King does not live there anymore, the palace is open to the public for people visiting.
If you came to Thailand you must visit famous pagodas here. We had a chance to visit Wat Phra Kaew is a temple in the heart of Bangkok, is included on the grounds of the Royal Palace. We just need to buy one ticket to see those fantastic cultural architects. Despite the fact that the royal grounds contain numerous large and small temples, Wat Phra Kaew is still the most revered since it houses the priceless emerald Buddha image, which is of tremendous importance to the whole of the Thai people.
Wat Suthat is located near Grand Palace and is lighted up with 156 Buddha sculptures around the temple's outside walls, four of which are exquisitely hand-carved with complex patterns.
The mural within the main hall, which is a unique feature of the temple, depicts 24 pictures of the Buddha before nirvana utilizing current modern painting technology. Chinese carved stones and an octagonal eight-story tower along the walls.
Wat Arun is one of Bangkok's most famous temples, located on the riverside of Chao Praya. Wat Arun, which is made of Chinese porcelain and multicolored ceramic pieces, is particularly lovely after sunset when the porcelain pieces reflect the golden afternoon sun.
There are a few places and foods in Thailand which will be posted next time. Thank you so much for reading my post.
