Hop on - Hop off Bus Tour in Melbourne
Hello everyone,
This time I want to take you on a bus tour with me around Melbourne. This tour is very suitable for people who don't have so much time and still want to see Melbourne as much as they can. For me, with three days in Melbourne, I can not visit as many places as I expected. But thanks to the hop-on and hop-off tour I can get sightseeing around Melbourne with the most specific places that should be visited in Melbourne.
That's so easy to catch The Hop On Hop Off Melbourne Bus Tour tour which starts at Federation Square, is an ideal way to explore Melbourne at your own pace while viewing the city's key sights. Whether you choose to visit the city's historic and architectural landmarks, as well as the vibrant markets and bayside beaches, or one of our two Hop On Hop Off Bus Tour routes, you'll have a variety of things to do. You don't need to worry about finding public transportation when planning your itinerary. When you're done with each stop, get back on the bus and continue on to the next one. From Federation Square, you can take either the City or St Kilda Tours, with departures every 40 to 60 minutes. For me, I took the City tour which will go through 15 destinations. And you can visit iconic sights such as Queen Victoria Market, the MCG, Crown Casino, Fitzroy Gardens, the Arts Centre, Eureka Tower and numerous others on the City Tour. As part of the St Kilda Tour, you can experience historic South Melbourne, The Esplanade, St Kilda Beach, Luna Park, and Station Pier. Let's see what we can catch on this bus.
You can not miss out the Royal Arcade if you come to Melbourne cause this is one of the oldest shopping places in Melbourne which has been established in the 19th century. If you want to try shopping in a historic place and enjoy the Italian architect, Royal Arcade will be the best choice for you.
You must visit Queen Victoria Market once you are in Melbourne, with its wide selection of fresh and delicious fruits, vegetables, and seafood, so you can get a taste of local specialties.
Additionally, there are many department stores that specialize in clothing, shoes, jewelry, and fine handicrafts. Also, you can enjoy the coffee in the coffee shops along with the Queen market which is well decorated and also has good meals and coffee.
Royal Exhibition Building was designed by architect Joseph Reed. Other of his works include Melbourne City Hall and the State Library of Victoria. As I read that the Royal exhibition palace combines elements of the Byzantine, Romanesque, Lombardic, and Italian Renaissance styles. Built with a dome modeled after Florence Cathedral. As in many buildings in Normandy, Caen, and France's capital, Paris, the lobby of this building was designed according to the Rundbogenstil architecture style.
This is the front view of The Royal Exhibition Building.
If you came to Royal Exhibition Building, don't forget the Melbourne Museum which is opposite the Royal Exhibition Building. There are permanent exhibitions as well as temporary exhibits in the museum, which cover a wide range of topics in great detail.
There are eight galleries in the Melbourne Museum and they are spread over three floors. Find out the evolution of Melbourne's history on the top floor. There are over 1,200 items on display. The Forest Gallery showcases Victoria's flora and fauna, followed by the Mind and Body Gallery, which shows us the inner workings of our bodies.
You can also explore the Life and Science Gallery, where you can see a life-size Blue Whale skeleton and learn more about Earth's geology and biology.
Yeah, also can not miss out the tram.
And the very iconic of China town. Where you can find Asian food, stuffs easily, I saw many restaurants along this street.
This is the Yarra River where runs through Melbourne. From this, we can see the Eureka Tower is a skyscraper, used as an apartment complex. It was built in 2002 and was completed in 2006. This tower is a must-see for visitors. It stands at 974 feet (297 meters). It actually stands taller than any other building around.
And the State Library Victoria, which is also a must place to visit.
On this Hop on - Hop off bus tour, you can see other famous places like Melbourne Central Railway Station, Melbourne Zoo, Fitzroy Garden... Don't worry about hop off the bus to explore the place you like. Because you can hop on the next bus and continue to explore Melbourne.

That is a great way of getting around, I did that once when, I was touring Melbourne it was really convenient and fair price.
Yes, it's really convenient when we don't need to search any popular locations. It would take us there for sure.
Always very handy to have organized tours like that :)
