The difference between a winner and a loser is that winners do not wait for chances, they rather take them. It is not easy to be a winner and it is not a day's job. Winning requires a lot of work and consistency. Vince Lombardi said that “Winners are willing to go longer, work harder, and give more than anyone else.”

It takes understanding the basics of winning to become a winner and this isn't something that can be achieved overnight. In other words, you'd have to get yourself acquainted with the winning strategies in your area of specialization.

During this process you'd know that winning doesn't come on a platter of gold. There will be challenges and setbacks but you'd have to understand that “Obstacles are challenges for winners and excuses for losers" as posited by M. E. Kerr.

Determination and persistence are key ingredients that make winning possible. Let's take for instance, athletes start a race together on the same line at the same time but during the course of the race, some gets tired and reduce their pace while some even quit and the winner is that one person that is determined and persistent. Remember, "winners never quit and quitters never win".

Additionally, you have to imbibe the habit of learning from winners and you'd realize that no man or woman is born a winner and it requires hardwork to attain the peak of all we do. Winners are people who happily do the things that losers or quitters see as difficult - that's the winning mentality. George Meredith once said that "always imitate the behavior of the winners when you lose.” This will surely give you a positive mindset and sooner or letter you will be a winner.
