SMALL CHANGES, HUGE RESULTS
Julia Carney, once said that "little drops of water make the mighty ocean" which translates to mean that the impact of small changes cannot be ignored in life. There are small changes that can definitely lead to huge results. For a number of years, I have grown to understand that big results do not happen over night but it is as a result of the little things that we constantly do day in day out. A child does not start walking the day he or she was born, a child would start crawling before walking. This principle is applicable to some parts of our lives, if not all.

In a bid to make impact in people's lives and to achieve all your personal goals, there's the need to take the first step in the journey. Vincent Van Gogh buttresses this point in one of his famous quotes that “Great things are done by a series of small things brought together". The beginning of failure is when you want to jump to the ladder of success at once without taking each step one at a time. Or in a case where you need to complete a task but you feel it's too bulky even when you have not started - by the time you begin bit by bit, you'd be surprised that you will be done in a short time.
As a person you can make big impacts in your family, place of work, neighborhood and so on if you always look for how to add value to your immediate environment. Let's take for instance, there is a chaos in your place of work over who did this or that. You can help to resolve these issues by proferring solutions, in order words you are adding value in the best way you can. In your neighborhood, you can pick up litters that are messing the whole environment up and disposing them off properly. With this little act of yours you have saved someone or even yourself from spending money on drugs to treat sickness caused by environmental pollution. Think about it!

Have you ever being with your significant other and your mind is wandering about or you are trying to work on your system and you are lost in your thoughts? Now, you need to eliminate the distractions that are hindering you from concentrating on whatever you do. There are so many distractions out there and they come in different ways. For instance, if you need to complete your blog post in time, then you may need to stay away from the TV for some time or stop switching between Instagram and your notepad. Getting rid of distractions allows you to concentrate on what you should be doing rather than wasting your precious time on unnecessary things. Simply put, get rid of distractions (small changes) and focus on what you should be doing (big results).

Small changes can also lead to big results when you ask people to tell you ways that you can improve on yourself. The people around you often know you best, they can see you and tell you some of the things you are doing well and the ones that you are not performing up to expectations. When you ask for feedback, you'd be able to realize these things and make amendments if necessary.
