Don't Let Your Next Move Be Predictable

I saw a comedy performance by a Nigerian comedian over the weekend and there was a short analogy that he made that caught my attention. It was funny, a lot of people laughed but it has some life lessons for someone that is patient enough to read between the lines.
He made an analogy about an ideal traffic situation in Nigeria and a case where there is no compliance with traffic regulations. He said that in an ideal situation where all the road users are compliance with the traffic regulations, a driver will switch on his left or right trafficator to show the direction he or she wants to turn to.
But, when the road is too busy and everyone is trying to get out of traffic jam, drivers will make their moves unpredictable and enter a lane without giving the other driver a clue, that is, using their trafficator to indicate the direction they want to navigate to. It will be like a shock to the other driver. He said that you do not let your enemy know or predict your next move. That line was catchy.
The moment your enemy can predict your next move, they make all attempts to block and hinder you. Imagine that you are in a serious Lagos traffic and you are using pointer to switch lanes, no one will give you chance to enter the lane but when you enter the lane without giving them any clue, then you make gradual progress and they will not be able to stop you from moving.
It is a life lesson that can be useful in all areas of life. Let your results speak for you. Don't let people guess your next move right. Shock them. People who do not want your success will feel intimidated, angry and plot ways to disrupt your progress if you share your next move with them.
Be wise!
