It talks about the shortage that my country Venezuela had, there was no food, nothing and at that time and moment I saw many families on the streets asking for money, food, clothes, or something that we could help them with.

It hit me in all aspects, I could not save myself from that bad moment, but it hit me more because I always had to take my baby to school in the mornings and she saw the children looking for food from the garbage, the mothers asking for food, something that hurt me was to see the grandparents lying in the streets.

I have friends who support this process that my country is going through and they always told me that everything was fine, that nothing was happening in Venezuela, I was filled with hate, incomprehension, pity, pain, sadness, etc., when I heard those words, they always asked me,

(THEM) Hello willians brother, how are you?
(ME) Gee, how am I doing? bad, how should I be if I don't have anything in my fridge to eat?
(THEM) But why are you like this brother, if you work and earn decent money?
(ME) Is it because there is no food or anything anywhere in our state that you live in Canada?

And conversations like that made me hate the day, but well thank God here we are and here we are still in the struggle, surviving and hoping that God will remember us someday and help us to improve our country.

Hola que tal familia de #openmic como siempre es más que un placer para mí compartir mis temas con ustedes, en esta ocasión les traigo un tema original que en vez de hablar de la felicidad de la familia habla sobre la situación de Venezuela que por un periodo largo nos afectó demasiado, nos hizo tocar fondo, por lo menos a mí.

Habla sobre la escasez que tuvo mi país Venezuela, no se conseguía comida, ni nada y en ese tiempo y momento vi muchas familias abocadas en las calles pidiendo dinero, comida, ropa, o algo con lo que los pudiésemos ayudar.

A mí me pego en todos los aspectos, no pude salvarme a ese mal momento, pero me pego más fue porque siempre en las mañanas tenía que llevar a mi bebe a su escuela y ella veía a los niños buscando comida de la basura, a las madres pidiendo comida, cosa que me dolió fue ver a los abuelitos tirados en las calles.

Tengo amigos que apoyan este proceso por el que pasa mi país y siempre me decían que todo estaba bien, que en Venezuela no pasaba nada, yo me llenaba de odio, incomprensión, lástima, dolor, tristeza, etc., al escuchar esas palabras, siempre me preguntaban,

(ELLOS) ¿Hola willians hermano cómo estás?
(YO) caramba que como estoy? ¿Mal, como debería de estar si no tengo nada en mi nevera para comer
(ELLOS) Pero porque estas así hermano, si tú trabajas y ganas decente?
(YO) Será porque no hay comida ni nada en ningún lado de nuestro estado es que tú vives en Canadá?

Y conversaciones como esas hacían que odiara el día, pero bueno gracias a dios aquí estamos y aquí seguimos en la lucha, sobreviviendo y esperando que dios algún día se acuerde de nosotros y nos ayude a mejorar nuestro país.
