Hello everyone and welcome to my blog at this hour. Trust you had a great week so far? Yesterday was Nigeria's Independence Day and it was celebrated all across the country. A one day public holiday was declared to celebrate the Independence and today also looks to be the continuation of the celebratory mood. Well, sit back relax, and enjoy all that I have packaged for your reading pleasure.

The streets look so empty and deserted this morning compared to how it used to be on a normal day. The reason for the lonely roads is not far-fetched and it may be linked to the Independence day celebration that held yesterday in Nigeria. There was a public holiday in Nigeria and most people cease that opportunity to travel, most especially when it falls in the weekend.

Three free days in a week - Friday, Saturday and Sunday, means a lot to so many people in this world and it is enough days for sorting out some important issues that could not be attended to due to lack of free time. A lot of us look forward to public holidays, I'm sure one or two people would be anticipating the next public holiday already.

We do not get to see some of our relatives for months due to busy schedules at work and it is also always difficult to attend to some personal issues. You may not be able to relate if you do not work in a company that has strict rules or if you work for yourself.

Then, count yourself lucky for the freedom that you enjoy...

We look forward to public holidays to rest and stay away from work for some days. Most people's life revolves around their work. It is not easy going to work from Monday to Saturday, even Sunday for some people - public holidays are always accompanied with sweet feeling of relief whenever they draw closer.
