Throughout my childhood, photography was always present, as a form of part of my family and specifically my mom, who came to have several roll cameras, which she used to capture almost any moment of our lives. Although I didn't like having my pictures taken, I still kept some of them as part of my childhood.
Durante toda mi infancia, la fotografía siempre estuvo presente, como una forma de parte de mi familia y en específico mi mamá, quien llegó a tener varias cámaras fotográficas de rollos, de la cuales solía utilizar para captar casi cualquier momento de nuestras vidas. Aunque no me gustaba que me sacaran fotografías,aún así queda algunas guardadas como parte de mi niñez.
Then in my adolescence, I still had no interest in photography, because I was devoted to music and sports, and then when I entered my college years, when I began to study journalism, was the moment I understood the reason for photography, and I used to take pictures with low-end cameras or even got to use an old analog camera Minolta brand, exclusively with black and white rolls.
Luego en mi adolescencia, aún no sentía interés por la fotografía, debido a que estaba entregado a la música y el deporte, para luego cuando entré a mi etapa universitaria, cuando comencé a estudiar periodismo, fue el momento que comprendí la razón de la fotografía, y solía hacer fotografías con cámaras de baja gama o incluso llegué a utilizar una vieja cámara analógica marca Minolta, exclusivamente con rollos en blanco y negro.
From that moment on I started to have my closeness with black and white, although in many occasions I had many bad or badly exposed frames, I always kept on practicing, until I got that desired result. Consequently, in this way I was able to learn more about photography, and still today after almost 18 years, find those images that serve me as reference and practice for my photographs.
A partir de ese momento comencé a tener mi cercanía con el blanco y negro, aunque en muchas ocasiones tuve muchos fotogramas malos o mal expuestos, siempre seguía practicando, hasta obtener ese resultado deseado. Por consiguiente, de esta forma pude aprender más sobre la fotografía, y seguir hoy en día luego de casi 18 años, encontrar esas imágenes que me sirven como referencia y práctica de mis fotografías.
As well as finding that beauty where no one usually sees it, creating that vision in objects that suddenly can be considered ugly, but where there are those beautiful details that can also sensitize our senses. As we can see in these photographs, where in some cases there is beauty by nature, but also in others it is interpreted or captured what can be decadent or even anti aesthetic, as something beautiful and subtle.
Así como encontrar esa belleza donde nadie suele verlo, crear esa visión en objetos que de repente lo pueden considerar feos, pero donde existe esos detalles hermosos y que también pueden sensibilizar nuestros sentidos. Tal así como podemos apreciar en estas fotografías, donde en algunos casos existe esa belleza por naturaleza, pero también en otras se interpreta u capta lo que puede ser decadente o incluso anti estético, como algo hermoso y sutil.
