National Art Gallery: An encounter with Venezuela's artistic expressions [ENG/ESP]

The truth is that with 10 photographs that I show in this publication, are not enough to show everything contained in this place, which is known as the National Art Gallery of Venezuela. Basically it is a site that functions as a museum, and is part of the whole system of cultural and artistic sites, which is located in the city of Caracas - Venezuela.
In this site, you can find more than 9000 artistic works of all styles, from paintings of the colonial era, pre-Hispanic art, sculptures, art installations, photographs and other works of art, of great reference for the country, and that rest as a great treasure, for the appreciation and value of all who visit this art gallery, one of the most important in the country.
La verdad que con 10 fotografías que muestro en esta publicación, no bastan para mostrar todo lo contenido en este lugar, que se conoce como la Galería de Arte Nacional de Venezuela. Básicamente es un sitio que funciona como un museo, y forma parte de todo el sistema de parajes culturales y artística, que se ubica en la ciudad de Caracas - Venezuela.
En dicho sitio, se puede encontrar más de 9000 obras artísticas de todos los estilos, desde pinturas de la época colonial, arte prehispánico, esculturas, instalaciones artísticas, fotografías y entre otras obras de artes, de mucha referencia para el país, y que reposan como un gran tesoro incalculable, para el aprecio y valor de todos quienes visiten esta galería de arte, de las más importante del país.
This facility opened its doors on April 6, 1976, and since then it has collected a large number of works of art, and has also been the site of many exhibitions of an artistic nature.
From the first moment you enter the gallery, you can appreciate at first sight the emblematic painting Miranda en la Carraca, painted by the well-known painter Arturo Michelena, and you can imagine the magnitude of this artistic work, which was captured for posterity, as a work of great artistic and historical value. Other works by Arturo Michela and other Venezuelan artists such as Martín Tovar y Tovar, Cristóbal Rojas, Antonio Herrera, Armando Reverón and others can also be appreciated. However, there are also certain contributions of foreign artists who lived in the country, such as Ferdinand Bellermann, who was characterized by his naturalistic paintings, specializing in Venezuelan landscapes, or painters like Camille Pissarro, who in life stood out for his unleashing of impressionism in art.
Estas instalaciones abrieron sus puertas el 6 de abril de 1976, y desde entonces se han recolectado una gran cantidad de obras de artes, así como también ha sido punto de muchas exposiciones de índole artístico.
Desde primer momento que hace entrada a la galería, se puede apreciar a primera vista el emblemático cuadro Miranda en la Carraca, pintado por el conocido pintor Arturo Michelena, y uno se puede imaginar la magnitud de este trabajo artístico, que quedó plasmado para la posterioridad, como una obra de mucho valor artístico e histórico. Además se pueden apreciar otras obras realizadas por Arturo Michela, y de otros artistas venezolanos como Martín Tovar y Tovar, Cristóbal Rojas, Antonio Herrera, Armando Reverón y otros más, sin embargo también hay ciertas aportaciones de artistas extranjeros que hicieron vida en el país, tales como Ferdinand Bellermann, que se caracterizaba por sus pinturas naturalistas, especializándose en paisajes venezolanos, o también pintores como Camille Pissarro, quien en vida se destacó por desatarse en el impresionismo en el arte.
On the other hand, in the facilities of this gallery, you can appreciate an endless number of works of all styles, which have been referents in the Venezuelan history and culture, such as part of the indigenous crafts, very characteristic among the indigenous communities of the country, especially in states like Amazonas, Bolivar and Apure, where there is still a large population of aborigines, who maintain their customs.
Por otro lado, en las instalaciones de esta galería, puedes apreciar un sin fin de obras de todos los estilos, que han sido referentes en la historia y cultura venezolana, como por decir parte de las artesanías indígenas, muy característico entre las comunidades indígenas del país, sobre todo en estados como Amazonas, Bolívar y Apure, donde aún existen una gran población de aborígenes, que mantienen sus costumbres.
The main function of the art gallery is to preserve all these works of great value, as well as to inform all visitors about the history of art in Venezuela. This space is public, therefore, the entrance is free, although it is not allowed to take pictures with professional cameras. Therefore, it is allowed to take pictures exclusively with cell phones and without flash.
La galería de arte, tiene como principal función en preservar todas esas obras de gran valor, así como dar a conocer a todas las personas que la visiten, sobre la historia del arte en Venezuela. Este espacio es público, por lo tanto, la entrada es gratuita, aunque no se permite hacer fotografías con cámaras fotográficas profesionales. Por lo que es permitido tomar fotografías exclusivamente con celulares y sin flash.
Undoubtedly, it is a place that takes us to the times when these works were made, it is to be in the presence of great works of those artists who were of great reference for the country and the world.

Sin duda alguna, es un lugar, que nos traslada a las épocas que fueron realizadas esas obras, es estar a la presencia de grandes obras de aquellos artistas que fueron de gran referencia para el país y el mundo.
