I found some cactus and succulent plants at a university nursery. / Encontré algunos cactus y plantas suculentas en un vivero universitario.

Una de las cosas que me mas me ha gustado de mi actual carrera universitaria, ing. agronómica, ha sido la practica que hemos tenido en el campo y en el laboratorio. Para aprendizaje de un buen agrónomo saber las características típicas de una planta es importante, por ello estar en contacto con el medio ambiente es importante, saber como tratar y cuidar todo tipo de plantas.

One of the things that I have liked the most about my current university career, agronomy engineering, has been the practice we have had in the field and in the laboratory. For a good agronomist learning to know the typical characteristics of a plant is important, so being in contact with the environment is important, knowing how to treat and care for all types of plants.

En una actividad que tuvimos visitando un vivero de plantas ornamentales me tope con una gran cantidad y variedad de cactus muy lindos que le llamaron mucho la atención. Tome algunas fotografías de ellos, y al parecer están muy bien cuidados.

In an activity that we had visiting a nursery of ornamental plants I came across a large number and variety of very nice cactus that called a lot of attention. I took some pictures of them, and apparently they are very well cared for.

Es un espectáculo para los amantes de estas plantas, hay de todo tipo de variedad y muy bien tratados en cuanto a fungicidas y abonos orgánicos. Tienen un color y un brillo único y es todo un jardín de esto.

It is a spectacle for lovers of these plants, there are all kinds of variety and very well treated in terms of fungicides and organic fertilizers. They have a unique color and brightness and it is a whole garden of this.

Encontré muchas opuntias y cactus de todos los tamaños, algunos están en recipientes para plantas muy grandes, son ornamentales del vivero, sin embargo están a la venta si el cliente lo desea y pueden sacarse retoños de ellos y colocarlos en bolsas para vivero para dejarlos crecer solos.

I found many opuntias and cacti of all sizes, some are in very large plant containers, they are ornamentals from the nursery, however they are for sale if the customer desires and offshoots can be taken from them and placed in nursery bags to let them grow on their own.

Mis favoritos sin duda alguna son los siguientes, y aunque no se sus nombres científicos me parecieron muy interesantes de ver, sobre todo ver como es su flor.

My favorites without a doubt are the following, and although I don't know their scientific names I found them very interesting to see, especially to see what their flowers look like.

El vivero perece al Parque Baradida, pulmón vegetal de mi ciudad, aquí se utiliza el dinero recolectado por las ventas de plantas, para su propio uso.
Sin embargo tiene convenios con mis profesores de universidad, y se nos permite la entrada aquí para practicas de campo, por ello trabajamos haciendo trasplantes y germinando algunas semillas.

The nursery is close to Baradida Park, the vegetable lung of my city, here they use the money collected from plant sales for their own use.
However, it has agreements with my university professors, and we are allowed to enter here for field practices, so we work doing transplants and germinating some seeds.

Dentro del mismo parque hay una pequeña reserva de cactus de manera que se puedan usar para practicas con estudiantes.

Within the park itself there is a small reserve of cacti so that they can be used for practice with students.
