Saturday morning attending the coconut and pineapple fair
Greetings dear readers
Hello friends, a very cordial greeting to everyone in this #weekendexperiences community, in my first post in this community where we enthusiastically express our experiences of the weekends which is usually very busy because we go out on rides, trips and attend events to share with friends, co-workers and family.
Usually, my weekends are very busy because I almost always do activities such as walks, small trips and attended events that I like very much, this time I went to a special one because it was my work environment, which was held on a Saturday before leaving on vacation, to celebrate the fair of pineapple and coconut.
This activity is done with the aim of enhancing the importance of these two tropical fruits which can be used to prepare many desserts, drinks and oils among others.
This is one of the new activities proposed by the Ministry of Education of my country, also pursues the idea of exchanging and sharing with all the school circuits of this municipality. The activity begins on a Saturday from 8 am to 12 pm, in a central place of the city as is the Ayacucho Park, all the institutions of the city and the different circuits prepare a stand where they expose the work done by teachers and identifying their institution and circuit.
On each table there were many desserts made with these two tropical fruits, which also identified as typical sweets of the city as coconut rice, majarete, coquitos de colores, nougat, canned cookies, quesillos, bienmesabe, cupcake, pineapple cakes among others, among other dishes based on coconut and pineapple, were some of the sweets that adorned this first fair. Also among the beverages were guarapita juices, Cocadas, piña colada, and wines.
After the samples and exhibition of the different and delicious sweets we were able to share them among all those present, it is incredible to taste so many sweets and desserts in attractive and original presentations, which are prepared with these fruits.
so many sweets and desserts in attractive and original presentations, which are prepared with these fruits, we also enjoyed the rhythm of good music typical of my state of Sucre.
I really enjoyed attending this type of gastronomic event that highlights the recovery of the traditional recipes of the country to strengthen local identity, in addition to sharing with all the professionals in the educational field of the city. It was a positive activity this weekend to promote gastronomy in the state.
