The Crash - A Freewrite

"Erica, you're bleeding!"
I looked down at my leg and a steady stream of dark, red blood ran down my inner thigh to my sandal-clad foot.
"David, I can't even feel it!"
The car behind us was mangled around a tree. David stood above me, offering his hand to pull me up from the embankment that we so recently came down in my now crumpled car.
"We need to get up to the highway, Erica. We need to get you help! You're losing a lot of blood."

I stumbled as I struggled to reach David's hand. I was feeling very cold. I felt David's hand clamp firmly around my wrist.
"Erica! Erica, don't pass out, please!"
I felt my mouth open and then a warm envelope enclosed me as I landed on hard ground.

Thank you for reading 📚.
I hope Erica hasn't been eating too many pies or David will never get her to the highway:)
