Freewrite Daily Prompt Day 2723

(Edited)

This is my participation in the daily writing prompt hosted @marriannewest

Today was a do or die day. I am exhausted after little sleep last night. Jeff got home yesterday exhausted from returning home from a work trip to Boston. In the middle of the night, he got up to use the bathroom and discovered Daisy left more destruction. He put her in her crate and got in bed. He returned to bed and said I can't deal with that right now and neither should you.
I knew my sleep was over. It was probably 2:30 or 3:30 am. My day began. She barked periodically all night. I put her training collar on her and used the vibration option to correct the crying which meant my sleep was nonexistent.

I gave up trying at 6:30 a.m. I got up and took care of the pets and cleaned her destruction. I made coffee and took an Amodafinil my husband had (Stay awake pill).

I woke Jeff and we shared coffee and Bible devotions. I'm physically struggling with recovering from bronchitis and also experiencing side effects of Amoxicillin and Prednisone prescribed to treat this beast.

Sweet Daisy while I work. Destructive Daisy comes out after we go to bed

I worked 8:15 - 4:45 and my voice is not back yet. At least my throat isn't sore.

It's 10:12 p.m. My husband returned from a meeting with his best friend and former business partner. I spent a good hour plus on a phone call with a sister from church who is recovering from a recent surgery.

Jeff came home happy but on a political rant. He's my ride or die so I hope he can calm down a bit before bed.

I enjoyed a short break on my deck but momma robin is making a huge mess trying to build her nest on my little space to enjoy outdoors on work break

This is a great story to read with sincerity. I understand something, which even made me feel better, and it developed a story with serious content.

I wonder what is bothering Daisy. Has something changed to make her act like that?

She's chewed things all along. Ever since she was homeless living with my son and he locked in the truck when he had to appointments in on appliances on appointments

OH, I thought this was a new problem. IDK what you can do to keep her from doing this.
