Good evening my readers! Monday is done and I'm relaxing after a late dinner.

Today I continued mentoring the new representatives assigned to me. We will be together until June 19th. The representatives take turns handling calls and the other representative and I listen to the caller and assist the representative as needed. To begin to ensure that the representatives are accessing all resources, I advised them that I would allow them more time to research and locate the information needed to respond to the caller's questions during calls on their own.

The former teacher is beginning to show confidence in responding to questions and accessing the resources she will need to rely on after mentoring ends. The former IT gentleman seems to struggle more. He doesn't seem enthused with the new role he's accepted for multiple reasons.

Tomorrow I have scheduled off of work for my neurologist appointment to get Botox injections for migraine. I can relax for the remainder of the day. Wednesday I am off for a road trip with a friend I'm looking forward to both of these things. I hope to have some pictures to share from Wednesday.

I posted this schedule in error yesterday, but in Alive we set goals. This is my plan for the week:

Monday- work and read posts/comments
Tuesday- work, write a post.
Wednesday- Botox for Migraines and running errands.
Thursday- Day trip to either Chautauqua Lake or Niagara Falls
Friday- work - fly to Canada for the weekend to visit our friends

I have not gotten to replys yet so I still have to answer it, but Thank You!
I felt I had to respond because....
He he he!
This is something I have done from bottom to top and back and up again!

I worked in a few call centers, and went from called, to verifier, to call list manager, and finally (since I already had the training, experience for it) IT.
Then I programmed dialers (in java) for Linux to Windows systems.
Also funny, after "years", and some disagreements I landed back in the phones. And got fired for something that was normal on Monday and not on Tuesday! 😲

I was mentioning all this because the IT guy you mentioned. I feel for him as I know what that is like, "rough"!

Yes, I went up the ladder in my previous job from representative, to QA to QA Supervisor and I got hired on at this job as a representative in 2011. I've posted for a couple of different roles internally, but other candidates were selected. I have no desire to be a lead or a supervisor with this job. The migraines limit me and less responsibility is best for this season of life. I was taken by surprise with this assignment. It is very challenging to mentor entirely remotely on any system, let alone this beta program I'm being made to mentor them on. I have limited experience on it myself. Today, despite Botox injections, is a break and tomorrow is a fun day. Back to work on Thursday.
