Transcarpathian Interesting Places - A Trip to the Lavender Field

avatar

I have not published for a long time due to the total lack of time. But all the same, during this busy period, I managed to get out of the city several times to get some rest.

So at the beginning of the summer, my girlfriend and I visited a lavender field near Uzhgorod. And this is a great place worth your attention. Firstly, it is insanely beautiful there. And secondly, it is a hobby that has become both an excursion place and a whole lavender business. In addition to photos of the field itself, I also want to talk about the owners of this field and their business.

10 minutes from Uzhhorod, in the village of Tarnivtsi, a lavender field stretched out among the chamber silence. Half a hectare, seven thousand bushes, the flower is still young, but already attracts tourists, photographers, handmakers. The territory is called "Lavender Field". He was dropped off by Ivan and Kateryna Kopynets from Uzhhorod.

Actually, the idea arose in the spring of 2019 and materialized in the fall. All sorts of conflicts with documents were stopped, but the couple coped with everything, so on September 16, 2019, they planted the first bushes. The family supported Ivan and Kateryna, and their relatives were involved in various processes. Ivan is mainly engaged in organizational matters, and actually lavender - the element of Catherine. A lot of work around the capricious flower, and so every day. They provided light, water, and a fence to protect the field from intruders. The fragile plant needs careful care, so the owners do not currently use the technique while the bushes are small - they only need manual labor.

The plant was ordered from them all over Ukraine, of all the choice was not accepted, perhaps 3%. The flowering season usually lasts two weeks and usually starts in early June or mid-month.

In 2020, half of the territory with two-year-old bushes bloomed, the rest - one-year-olds - are not ready yet. Everything bloomed this summer, but Ivan and Kateryna were in no hurry to open a location for tourists. However, everything happened naturally. The hostess started an Instagram page for Lavender Field, where she talks about all the processes and publishes photos.

Readers were fascinated, interested and tourists come to the lavender field every day. During the period of work, there were professional photo sessions at dawn and dusk to show all the beauty of the flower.

Handmakers, cafe owners are also visited to cut flowers for cosmetics, cooking, and cocktails. Girls form elegant bouquets for themselves in the house.

In order to get here, you need to contact the owners and determine a day off. Admission is less than $ 2, and the field stay is unlimited. You can also conduct professional photoshoots, for this you need to book in advance a certain hour when no one else will be allowed on the territory. It costs less than $ 10, and the photographer is free to visit. You can usually go to the lavender field until July 17-20, and then - the harvest.

Field coordinates - 48.593681, 22.216623
