It was a fine day, mid of June year 2021 when we got to decide to visit the place that commonly known as "Monghe."

Adoration Monastery of Mary de Marangog or "Monghe" is located at Barangay Marangog, one of the secluded barangays in the town of Hilongos. It is a religious place. A perfect place to worship and pray. Many people came in this place to ask for something or to ask for guidance.

People who wants to lit a candle and pray or in our dialect "Dagkot" or "Panagkot" can choose different colors of candles. Each color has its own representations.

Green: You can light this candle to draw money or wealth to you.
Pink: You can burn this candle to attract romantic love or reinforce existing love.
Red: Infuse a little passion into a specific area in your life.
White: If you need protection, want to cleanse something in your life, or want positive energy while you pray, light this candle.
Orange: You can imbue the ability to influence a specific area of your life with this color.
Purple: This is a good color for meditating and seeking enlightenment.
Blue: This color can bring peace and calm to specific areas or situations in your life.
Yellow: Light this candle to aid in studies, a search for wisdom or to find answers to problems.

There were also prayers posted on their walls that you can read but of course, you can create your own too. That's the first thing we do before touring the entire place. After the lighting of candles and uttering our prayers, we went up to this area;

You can also pray inside and put some donation in the donation box. After which, we didn't miss our chances to take some photos in that spot. And went directly to the last spot of the monastery. Upon taking the steps upward, different statues will greet you.

The vibe feels like you we're climbing at "Hanginan." And because one of the main reasons why we visit the place is to tour around, of course, we didn't wast the chance to capture lots of pictures.

After a couple of hours touring around the monastery, we decided to go home. You can actually visit the place any time of the day. Unlike during the high rate of Covid-19 pandemic where it was temporarily close and if they open it, only few people can visit or less hours of visit is provided.

It was actually a sudden travel because at that day, everyone was busy doing their own businesses. But my Aunt really insisted to have the visit because his husband will soon take his flight back to Manila for work. Unfortunately, my father was working so only my mother came to join us.

It was a successful travel and thanks be to God, we were all safe.😌
