LORD, YOUR PEACE IS ALL WE NEED II

Lord of Peace
Grant us thy peace
Not the one the world gives
Forcefully with the steel
That keeps us still
While our joy and peace they still steal
Right before our own eyes
And this time certainly can't ask why?

In search of peace
We've harmed ourselves
And lay curses for foetus
yet to see the light of this wicked world
In our quest to make peace
We've hurt and bit the very fingers
We depend on for bodily strength

In my search for freedom
I have enslaved many souls
Knowing foolishly and ignorantly unknown to me
So Lord today I pray
That I'm tire of running away from you
In search for worldly peace

And so in thy bosom I lay
in there I will stay
Until thy hands on my soul you'd lay
grant me peace of peace
Help me be calm in the storms of life
Least I should profane and shame thy name

Lord speak peace to my soul
Speak peace to my heart
Speak peace to my mind
And I will never be the same again.
