There is not much of a point in having a decentralized blockchain if you cannot access it easily. Not all of us can afford to run a copy of the blockchain. If anyone thinks that self hosted websites is the future for avoiding censorship and having freedom of speech; they are out of touch with the world. Imagine running your own WordPress site and keeping all your content up while in the middle of a war, famine or simply in crippling poverty earning at most a few dollars a day.

Having content stored in a blockchain like BLURT and HIVE creates an antifragile system (or at least an ultra resilient one) that would unlikely to be threatened by anything other than a state level actor. It is possible to store content on StackOS, Sia, IPFS etc. But that is bringing additonal complexity to the user. A blockchain built from ground up and tuned to function as a great blogging platform creates a much better UX for those who have something to say despite not being tech savvy.

I Missed The Launch of Blurt.Live

It has been some time since the launch. Currently there are following offerings made available to the community. This is a great step in decentralization. Even MetaMask was not free from getting censored in some regions due to overly centralized infrastructure.

Delegating for The Curators

There is less attention is given to curation projects if there isn't enough BP to give the votes sufficient weight. Authors may not feel as huge of an encouragement without a substantial value behind the vote either. I did not have much BP left to delegate. I delegated as much as I could.

I Seem To Be The First

I did not expect to see this when I curiously took a look at the wallet. It would be great if more people could delegate to the project. If you are doing a lot of manual curation, it is fine to ignore this request. If you have any inactive BP lying around, I encourage you to take a look and see if @blurt.live is good enough for your delegation :-)

You Can Support The Witness

I like to support more underdog players who does show potential. The project is contributing to the community and they have a lot to go before becoming a top witness. I like to spread my votes around and support a diverse set of actors.

If you think I am making a unwise decision voting this way, provide your arguments or information I may have missed. I'm open to making changes and vote better with my stake.
