Last time I made a post like this was a long time and if you ask me why, I have to say I don’t know why, I think is writers' block, like I have the idea, but I just don’t know where to begin to write it. Also, I’m kind of OCD so, I want the post to end up looking all perfect and professional and all that, and if you add to that my procrastination and ADHD yeah I end up having a post in my drafts for almost a year before I finally post it.

Now unto the topic at hand…

5 years…

This was meant to be posted on January 10th my actual Hivenniversary but as mentioned above sometimes I have so many ideas to post that I just block myself from actually posting any 🙂
I could say it changed my life, I have met people here that will forever be in my life as friends, Hive came to me just 8 days before I got pregnant, right after I finished Law School, and it help me pay for my c-section, pay for my car, put food in my family table and when you see how many of my co-nationals had to leave our country and seek a better life elsewhere away from their families right when I found Hive I can say that thanks to the blockchain that didn’t happen to me.

I miss you!!!!
new car from hell

I bought my first car 2 years ago thanks to a loan I was able to take from @neoxian because of how much HP I had managed to get from posting, I was stupid enough to try and improve that car to a newer model last year also thanks to my hive earnings (that is the current car I own IT GIVES ME MORE HEADACHES THAN THE OLD ONE!!!!) and in the future, my goal is to buy my own house (since currently, we live in my MIL house).

My first power down

Last year I asked Neo for another loan this time to equip my house I needed to have all the stuff normal people need a freezer, an oven, and a couple of ACs and I didn't want to make a power down to buy this, but by the end of last year with the price of Hive as it was and since I actually don't have another job to have another income I was forced to make my first power down, it didn't hurt me as much as I thought, first of all, I used the money to buy stuff for my kid the main reason I actually let my HP grow as much as him to have some sort of savings for him, so last year when I was in need to provide for him all the stuff he needed especially in the middle of the Christmas holidays. So, it actually made me happy as always to have something on Hive I could count on to be able to provide for him.

I manage to make it to 11500 HP, I think a bit more but I'm not sure I didn't take a screengrab and I'm currently too lazy to look the real number up and my plan is to go back to that even more, I just need to post more constantly but omg I truly don't know why is so hard for me to make content even tho i have like a billon ideas of post to make!

Giving back by teaching new users

I have gotten so much in the last 5 years and so, I try and pay back in any way I can. That is why I created Adopt a plankton on my bday 3 years ago, to try and help with one of the most significant issues we have when onboarding new users and that is retention, I had to look the post because I didn’t remember the exact date LOL it has been 3 years since I started officially putting a more structure and organized plan into action, for helping new users, but truth be told I have always loved helping around even tho sometimes I want to hit those who ask stupid questions in the head 🫠.

Making Tutorials

This is the best thing I see I'm at, i actually made a full on Guide on how to Hive a must read if you are new or old user of hive with a compilation of all the knowledge you need in one place.

Hive Power Up Day

I even started the Hive Power Up Day for the Venezuelans Hispanic community before the adopt a plankton, that whole idea came to me as a way to show other communities that the Venezuelan and Hispanic communities were as capable to do power-ups as any other, almost 3 years of that as well, and is something I will keep on doing for as long as I can (currently trying to find new ways to improve HPUD for the Hispanic community with the help of @traciyork and any suggestions are welcome!)

Communities

I made my very first community also 3years ago the Motherhood Community to celebrate Mother’s day it was a gift to myself and now is one of the most active communities of the blockchain it makes me SO PROUD!!! (of course, I couldn’t have done it without the help of the amazing @elizabeths15, @marybellrg, and @jcrodriguez as mods).

I also made a few more a Backstreet Boys Fan Community, the Love & Sexuality community, and the Lifestyle community so far, and even tho they are more work than pay LOL I don’t regret it one bit and actually would love to make even more!

Looking for a real job now

My Hive journey has been so far one that I have enjoyed so much and look forward to being here until the end of time, not because of the financial opportunities but because I have come to love and care so much for this chain, that is why I’m currently looking forward to expanding my knowledge on other fields and complement the knowledge I already have of the law to seek a real job and be able to grow back my Hive Power to what it was and go back on the track to fulfill my dream of becoming an Orca and maybe a full-on Whale of Hive!

3 years ago … My Hive journey

The 2 badges to have if you are an old user!

As I'm making this post I notice a trend on all my accomplishments here, and almost all came to fruition 3 years ago, and that is if you don’t know (cause you are too new to know) because even tho my account turned 5 years, it was 3 years ago when Hive came to be from the ashes of Steem and even tho I used to love what we were in that old chain after Hive was born it obviously give us a new sense of property, a new vision of this chain, I saw how we all came together to save what we loved and make it even better and ours. 3 years have gone by and…
My Hive Journey is only beginning and I can’t wait to see all that the future has for me here, I will continue to try and help as much as I can to make Hive the best blockchain with the best community out there!

PS. I'm so happy I'm finally posting this! Better late than never, right?! I could not let 5 years go by as anything, Hopefully, next year I make it on time! Lol

As always, thank you very much for reading me and
I hope to read your comments!

You have come a long way on the blockchain and I believe the future looks beautiful than what you have experienced on the blockchain.

Life came into my life at a time I needed it, the reason for coming was different but things turned out different and I had to stay for a different reason. I found awesome people on the blockchain who gave me a reason to stay.

You have achieved a lot with the help of Hive and you made a good choice to give back to the platform by creating awesome communities to improve interaction and engagement.

Thanks for sharing your inspiring journey which will become a motivation for many of us. Happy anniversary in arrears.
