The ART in the office - or the power of a single image (not a series of photographs).

Hello there. I took a long pause of being and posting here. As usual, there are different reasons, less and more weighty, but weighty enough to stop posting here.
Hope to stay here more continuously, but can't promise much.

I opened new accounts on the two new for me applications. One is absolutely new not only for me - POST NEWS, which is the opposite of Twitter.
I spent a few days on the waiting list and finally was invited to attend it.
Another one is known to many of you Mastodon, which is amazing in terms of the quality of photographers I found there. I joined the Photog[.]Social instance made for photographs. It's not about money, crypto, and rewards. The interface is clean of ADS and algorithms. Remind me of the old and amazing Google+. One can join this specific instance only by invitation, which I can send to you immediately.
The wonderful thing is that I found many film photographers there. There are no groups or communities, but, I can create lists or just browse the only following's posts without seeing the whole instance posts. Another wonderful point - people comment and put likes on those older than 7 days' posts. It is how our communication should be. The search by tags (or hashtags) is fast and unlimited.
In contrast to Mastodon, the Post News is not too interesting, at least right now, the first days of the Beta (i prefer to call it Alpha). Too much politics. Finally, it is why it was created exactly after Twitter's acquisition by Musk. We will see, where this application will go at the end.

Now the main reason for my (our) being here - the image.

Today my image is about balance, forms and geometry, contrasts, and personal perception. As well as seeing things, when tens or hundreds of people do not notice this happening on the wall in front of them. A few of them asked me what exactly I'm photographing there, without even looking in that direction. But it's ok. Not some kind of challenge -)

More of this combination of the strange forms of the lamp, the shadow, and the wall is coming.

Interesting. I browsed the Mastodon servers a few months ago and didn't find anything worth it the time from photography perspective. Good to see that changed. There are certain things that worry me with regards to the actual server centralization there, but I think this instance Photog[.]Social is worth trying if you have a spare invitation for me :)

Please and thanks!

hey Damian
thank you for taking a look and taking a read.
I really don't know what to add to the already said about the Mastodon.
This photog instance is nice, with fewer politics, and less hatred. As I said - there are many film photographers, so it makes the feed more artistic and interesting. I am sure that more photographers will come there soon, even I really don't limit myself to being in touch with only photographers. Somehow I really don't like this:-))))
I will send you an invitation if you will like to see it.

I see, thanks. Maybe it needs some more time to mature. The idea that a single server owner can control everything that I shared is worrying me too much for the moment.
