One image - the whole story - from one of anti-war protests.

I attended many protests during the past years - there were different reasons why do people take to the streets. Most of them are willing to live in the world of freedom and peace - the whole world peace, without any exclusion. If this kind of idyll can happen to us one day. As a realist, I don't see any progress in this direction. When I was 11-13 years old, my mom said me that soon the world won't need more soldiers, due to the end of all the wars and conflicts. After more than 40 years, I know now, that the was machine will never stop its progression. Rather the opposite.

I love the sign that dude is holding. So true.

I've met a lot of people from a lot of different places. Back in the early 2000's I was working for a company that was sending a lot of work - and working positions - from the US to 'low cost' areas in India and Kuala Lumpur. There was a lot of anger and frustration from my immediate coworkers who felt betrayed, and I can certainly understand their point of view.

From the perspective of the people we were hiring, however, in India and Kuala Lumpur, is that they just wanted to work, too. They had families to feed as well. The point being that, wherever one goes, once the politics of nation-building are put aside, all people really want the same thing: a safe, peaceful life, and a better life for their children than what they had themselves.

And apparently, to achieve that, we need to go to war. (sarcasm)

thank you for taking a look and for these words.
yes the war is forever, the piece is just a bonus. (a black humor, but I'm a realist)
