Double vision or the power of a single image (not a series of photographs).

avatar

In the beginning, it was only one single image. It has power. The power of the single ONE. People were coming to stand in front and looked closely at the details, expressing the idea, that an Artist wanted to share with them. One image, one story, (possibly different for every visitor) long discussions about, the emotions created, the food for a brain.
And then some of the organizations decided categorically: "Single image posts will not be ..... (replace "....." with any synonymous of "not desirable").
"More is more" is the new way of ART. How is more? The more the better! No limit to "unlimited" needed amounts of creativity.
We are the new generation of consumers and creators with unlimited possibilities in terms of quantity. But unfortunately not quality.

Really nice photo.
I agree with your point . To present only one image ( a real good photo) it has more merit/power and work than a post with many images of lower artistic/technical merits. I stand on the principle: "quality over quantity".

you're right but this principle here don't get any attention from the local curators
they push people to flood the traffic with stuff, even though no one is really checking these full of photographs posts
