Hello everyone dear community, today I come to present a new design for the splinterlands art contest, today's work is about the Angel of Light card, a beautiful and charming girl with big wings, with such an incredible power that she is able to resurrect the dead, only comparable with her infinite beauty. In this adaptation I wanted her to radiate a sublime beauty, which will captivate the viewers, so I applied some small variations in the technique, especially in the general lighting of the work, which gave a magical aura to the design, exactly what I wanted to achieve.

Hola a todos querida comunidad, hoy vengo a presentarles un diseño nuevo para el concurso de arte de splinterlands, la obra de hoy se trata de la carta Angel of Light, una hermosa y encantadora chica de grandes alas, con un poder tan increíble que es capaz de resucitar a los muertos, sólo comparable con su infinita belleza. En esta adaptación quise que ella irradiada una belleza sublime, que cautivará a los expetadores así que aplique algunas pequeñas variaciones en la técnica, sobre todo en la iluminación general de la obra, lo cual le aporto un aura mágica al diseño, exactamente lo que quería lograr.

The Angel of Light protects and guides her Khymian children. The Angel is the only person in the Splinterlands that can resurrect the dead. Many worship the Angel of Light as a Goddess, even though this is forbidden by the Silver Shield. These heretics are called Angelists.

El Ángel de la Luz protege y guía a sus hijos khymianos. El Ángel es la única persona en las Tierras Esparcidas que puede resucitar a los muertos. Muchos adoran al Ángel de la Luz como a una diosa, a pesar de que está prohibido por el Escudo de Plata. A estos herejes se les llama Angelistas.

I made this work with a lot of love, this time I was very focused on art, which allowed me to experiment with new things, without fear of making a mistake, I think that the fear of failure keeps us anchored and does not allow us to move forward. As you know the beginning of any great work is a sketch that accompanies it, this will be our base structure of everything, if we have a defective sketch everything else would be useless. I started drawing the silhouette of the girl, until I placed all the features of her being, at the end I left the wings, at this point I experimented with many different positions of wings, none I liked, until I found the one you see in the design, and with the sketch to taste, I started with the coloring, here I use pastel shades, slight brightness and little saturation, this gives me more realistic shades, the next step is to blend and mix all the colors that we applied previously, so we get a smooth finish like silk. For the wings, I had planned to use a bristle brush, this is how I usually draw the plumage, but this time I used a hard marker brush, but with little opacity, so I was drawing the plumage, I loved the result and I left it like this.

Esta obra la hice con bastante cariño, en esta oportunidad estaba bastante enfocado en el arte, lo cual me permitió experimentar con cosas nuevas, sin miedo a cometer algún error, pienso que el miedo a fracasar nos mantiene anclados y no nos permite avanzar. Como ya saben el inicio de toda gran obra es un boceto que lo acompañe, este será nuestra estructura base de todo, si tenemos un boceto defectuoso todo lo demas no serviría de nada. Comencé dibujando la silueta de la chica, hasta colocar todas las facciones de su ser, al final dejé las alas, en este punto experimente con muchas posiciones diferentes de alas, ninguna me gustó, hasta que di con la que ven en el diseño, ya con el boceto a gusto, emepece con el coloreado, acá uso tonalidades pasteles, leve brillo y poca saturación, esto me da matices más realistas, el siguiente paso consiste en difuminar y mezclar todos los colores que aplicamos anteriormente, así logramos un acabado suave como seda. Para las alas, tenía pensado usar un pincel de cerdas, así suelo dibujar el plumaje, pero está vez use un pincel rotulador duro, pero con poca opacidad, así fui dibujando el plumaje, este resultado me encanto y lo deje así.

In the following steps I started to detail the different parts of the drawing, starting with the clothes, this time I wanted to leave the face last, here I added shadows and textures until I got the desired result, in this step I also applied the option of tone editing, saturation and brightness, to change a little the color of the garment. For the face, hair and wings I followed the previous steps of applying shadows and shines by layers and mixing them, but besides that I added the method of mixing color overlapping, with this option you get a soft lighting but at the same time saturated, this was the key to get this result, previously I had used it but I didn't know how to apply it very well, for the next deliveries I will apply more this technique. I also designed the jewelry accessories like the bracelet and the necklace, although to be honest, I still need to improve this aspect, this section I feel that it does not fit very well with the overall design of the work and finally I added a cloud background, where the dark areas will be marked very well from the light ones, to create a contrast between the background and the angel.

En los pasos siguientes empece a detallar las diferentes partes del dibujo, empezando con la ropa, esta vez quise dejar el rostro de último, acá fui agregando sombras y texturas hasta obtener el resultado deseado, en este paso también aplique la opción de edición de tono, saturación y brillo, para cambiar un poco el color a la prenda de vestir. Para el rostro, el cabello y las alas seguí los pasos anteriores de aplicar sombras y brillos por capas e ir mezclando, pero además de eso anexe el método de mezcla de superposición de color, con esta opción logras un iluminación suave pero a la vez saturadas, esta fue la clave para obtener este resultado, anteriormente la había usado pero no sabía aplicarla muy bien, para las próximas entregas aplicaré más esta técnica. Tambien diseñe los accesorios de joyería como el brazalete y el collar, aunque para ser sinceros, todavía me falta por mejorar ese aspecto, esta sección siento que no se adapta muy bien al diseño general de la obra y para finalizar agregué con fondo de nubes, donde se marcará muy bien las zonas oscuras de las claras, para crear un contraste entre el fondo con el angel.
