Mientras hacía mi práctica personal de yoga, me di cuenta que he tenido pensamientos negativos últimamente. Pienso que es algo natural del ser humano, el tema es concientizarlo y escuchar nuestro diálogo interno constantemente.

While doing my personal yoga practice, I realized that I have been having negative thoughts lately. I think it is something natural for human beings, the issue is to make them aware and constantly listen to our internal dialogue.

Entre mi reflexión del día, recordé una muy linda frase de Gandhi.

Among my reflection of the day, I remembered a very nice phrase from Gandhi.

"Cuida tus pensamientos, porque se convertirán en tus palabras. Cuida tus palabras, porque se convertirán en tus actos. Cuida tus actos, porque se convertirán en tus hábitos. Cuida tus hábitos, porque se convertirán en tu destino"

"Watch your thoughts, because they will become your words. Watch your words, because they will become your actions. Watch your actions, because they will become your habits. Watch your habits, because they will become your destiny"

Las historias que nos contamos a nosotros mismos sobre las cosas que pasan son casi más importantes que las cosas en sí mismas. En su libro Voces Internas (2016), el psicólogo Charles Fernyhough de la Universidad de Durgham, explica: "Nuestro diálogo interno genera casi 4.000 palabras por minutos, es decir trabaja 10 veces más rápido que el habla verbal."

The stories we tell ourselves about things that happen are almost more important than the things themselves. In his book Internal Voices (2016), psychologist Charles Fernyhough of Durgham University explains: "Our internal dialogue generates almost 4,000 words per minute, that is, it works 10 times faster than verbal speech."

Llamamos diálogo interno a todas esas conversaciones que tenemos con nosotros mismos. Son conversaciones en silencio. Pero ¿son siempre positivas? Podemos ver cómo, en muchas ocasiones, llegan a herirnos y la voz interna se convierte en un enemigo. El dialogo interno esta relacionado con el autoestima y en como nos percibimos a nosotros mismos, el cómo me veo, me valoro o me acepto, hará que las cosas que me diga a mí mismo tengan un tono u otro. Además, se retroalimentan. Si mi autoestima es baja, mi diálogo interno empeorará. Si me digo mayoritariamente cosas negativas, mi autoestima seguirá bajando.También se relaciona con nuestros estados emocionales. Estados de tristeza, van a generar diálogos internos catastrofistas. O, por ejemplo, estados de rabia, van a generar conversaciones con nosotros mismos donde veamos que todo es injusto. Esos diálogos no calmarán los estados emocionales, sino que podrían llevar a que aumenten y nos bloqueen.

We call internal dialogue all those conversations we have with ourselves. They are silent conversations. But are they always positive? We can see how, on many occasions, they come to hurt us and the inner voice becomes an enemy. The internal dialogue is related to self-esteem and how we perceive ourselves, how I see myself, value myself or accept myself, will make the things I say to myself have one tone or another. Also, they feed off each other. If my self-esteem is low, my internal dialogue will get worse. If I say mostly negative things to myself, my self-esteem will continue to drop. It is also related to our emotional states. States of sadness will generate catastrophic internal dialogues. Or, for example, states of rage, will generate conversations with ourselves where we see that everything is unfair. These dialogues will not calm emotional states, but could lead to them increasing and blocking us.

A mí me suele pasar que por un mal momento en el día, mi mente bombardea pensamientos negativos.... Afortunadamente ya se que son juegos de la misma mente y que de pronto pasarán.... Igual eventualmente siempre hay algo bueno en que enfocarse

que podemos controlar con la maestria del enfoque mental...

Saludos @vicnzia Tu pensamiento y palabras en tu publicación son acertados. Todo comienza en nuestros pensamientos. Allí! Donde somos capaces de crear lo bonito o la catástrofe para nuestros días.Porque el cambio comienza en ese pensamiento positivo que es necesario que generemos para nuestro bienestar.
Hasta cuando estamos comiendo,es necesario pensar que ese alimento que está entrando a nuestro cuerpo nos va a nutrir.
De nada sirve un plato nutritivo en la mesa si la mente está siendo bombardeada por quejas y dolor.
Gracias por compartir tu experiencia y traernos ese pensamiento del maestro Ghandi 🙏

Muy acertada tu reflexión, @vicnzia . La persona con la que más dialogamos en nuestra vida es con nosotros mismos. Por eso es fundamental que cuidemos las palabras que nos decimos, que nos tratemos con amor, nos perdonemos y nos valoremos.

La cita de Gandhi que incorporaste es una de mis favoritas. He estudiado en profundidad el papel que juegan los hábitos en nuestra vida, y es impresionante cómo nos ayudan a crecer y mejorar con pequeños cambios diarios.

La parte positiva de la retroalimentación es que funciona igual al derecho que al revés. En el momento en que rompes la cadena y mejoras ese diálogo interno, será más y más fácil que te mantengas en una actitud sana contigo misma.
