Hello my dear friends from @NeedleWorkMonday, it is a pleasure to greet you and wish you a happy Sunday, today I bring you my first project of the year; a beautiful necklace made with recycled fabric from a denim pants that I no longer wear, I hope you like it.

Hola mis queridos amigos de @NeedleWorkMonday, es un gusto saludarles y desearles un feliz domingo, hoy traigo para ustedes mi primer proyecto del año; un hermoso collar elaborado con tela reciclada de un pantalón de mezclilla que ya no uso, espero les guste.

MATERIALS // MATERIALES

For this project, use: Denim or Jeans fabric, Needle and thread, Scissors, Blue cord, Blue beads and hot glue.

Para este proyecto, utilice: tela de mezclilla o Jeans, Aguja e hilo, Tijeras, Cordon azul, Cuentas azules y silicon caliente.

PROCESS // PROCEDIMIENTO

First we cut the hem and the seams made in the fabric.

Primero cortamos el ruedo y las costuras hechas en la tela.

2. With the fabric ready and the edges cut, we take each cut of the hems and as seen in the image, we make small cuts in each hem line.

2. Ya con la tela lista y los bordes cortados, tomamos cada corte de los ruedos y como se ve en la imagen, hacemos cortes pequeños en cada trazo de ruedo.

3. With each previously cut strip, we make our flowers, rolling up the piece of hem and sewing to join the fabric in the shape of a snail.

3. Con cada tira ya previamente cortada, hacemos nuestras flores, enrrollando el trozo de ruedo y vamos cosiendo para unir la tela en forma de caracol.

4. With the fabric we cut two pieces in the shape of a smile; In the same way, we cut a coarton piece with the same shape, which we are going to cover on both sides with the fabric, applying a little silicone.

4. Con la tela cortamos dos piezas en forma de sonrisa; de igual manera picamos una pieza en cartón con la misma forma, la cual vamos a cubrir de ambos lados con la tela, aplicando un poco de silicón.

5. Once the base and all the flowers are ready, I fix the cord to the base with a needle and thread, reinforcing the seam with a bit of silicone and placing a piece of fabric for a better finish.

5. Ya lista la base y todas las flores, fijo el cordón a la base con la aguja e hilo, reforzando la costura con un poco de silicona y colocando un pedazo de tela para un mejor acabado.

6. We begin to assemble the necklace, fixing each flower on the base, in the way that we like the most. And finally, we place the beads with the needle and thread; in my case I wanted them to hang it, you can give it your personal touch, I hope you liked my work. 6. Comenzamos a ensamblar el collar, fijando cada flor en la base, de la manera que mas nos agrade. Y por ultimo, colocamos las cuentas con la aguja y el hilo; en mi caso yo quise que le colgaran, tu puedes darle tu toque personal, espero les haya gustado mi trabajo.
