Visiting my backyard farmland is something I always long for, and each time I do that, I'm always super excited, because the experience usually make me be at ease, enjoy fresh air and as well appreaciate the beauty of nature, as I observe the difference growth stages of each plants.

That's Experience is second to non, and I tag it a blessing in disguise, I sometimes actually feel like a demigod with the feeling that comes from planting a seed, tendering it and watching it grow and grow, well back to the business of the day.

SCENT LEAFS

The scene leafs called Ewe Efinrin by my people is a very common plants in this part of the world, and it as enormous benefit to our health, as it aids wellness of the body system.

  • Down here we use for food, as the leave on its own can be prepare as a soup, or just as additional flavour that brings pleasant aroma to our food.

  • It also help out asthma patients, because the scent alone brings about calmness and as well normalize the breathing rate.

  • One of its major health benefits is that it aid digection, and cure stomach upset, most time when someone as either of those issues, we just cut few scent leafs, raise it with water, then place it in a bowl, add some water, mashed and squeeze it together to extract it water, which is then given to the I'll person to drink, and within few ours, such upset will normalize.

  • It's stick are use as a local tooth brush, as it as the scent that give us good breath.

FLUTED PUMPKIN

It's common called Ugu among my countrymen, and this is a very important vegetable just like the scent leafs, it is also use in meal as well, and is as well highly medicinal and of great benefit to our wellness.

Although after planting it, I've not given it much attention, non build a seed bedding for it, aside a log of stick I placed beside it, but since it growth, it as find it own route, and cliff to the maringa tree beside it, some of it health benefits are;

  • The major health benefits of fluted pumpkin known to me is that is a good source of blood, both to boost and aid it flood in our body system, and the way we use it, is by cutting few of it leafs, wash the dirt of it, put in a bow, add some water and squeeze it together, untill you'll able to drain out it water.

It's always greenish, and are usually very bitter, but if drank at least one in a week, then such person will enjoy a healthy life free from illness and weariness.

CHILI PEPPER

Lastly, I'll be taking you through my chili Peppers plant, that as been doing fine lately, and like you can see in some of the pictures below, the peppers are gradually springing out, I can't wait for them to grow big, so I can add them to my meal.

I really don't have much to say about them or their healthy benefits, but I enjoy them in meal, as a Yoruba we are known to like Peppers in our food, so I guess that's why I planted many of it.

Everything looks like "ewedu" to me... when it is only to eat that I know.

It is amazing how much benetfits and goodies many of these plants harness. It is even more amazing to have everything on a platter of gold.

You have a very healthy looking farm. It is clear you are putting a lot of efforts into it.

Smile I can't blame you for not being able to differentiate between them, not everyone will go into farming, we need people in other fields and aspect of life, just like we have OG's like you 😉.

Yea they all have more benefits, just that those were the little I know.

Thanks so much for your kind words and compliment of my farm.

Happy new month.

Funny enough, my grandfather is an excellent farmer. But I never lived with him much to learn about farming. OG's like me only like tech and food.

Oh yeahhh, it is a new month. Happy new month, @vickoly

You're doing well brother.

Your garden vegetables look good.

Scent leaf. They also call this vegetables ewe efinrin where I stay. Locals use it to get rid of so many ailments.

It’d be very nice to plant something like this in my garden. Can you please give me some tips?
