The Golden Rule

When you have the opportunity and privilege that others do not have,it does not make you better than them in any way or it does not mean you should treat them anyhow because they are beneath you.

For example a rich kid who has all the money in the world would tend to feel better than another kid who was born into a poor home,the rich kid should not feel superior because he/she did not choose the home he/she was born into and neither did the poor kid choose.

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you is known as the Golden rule and is an important thing to consider in developing ourselves and becoming better people.

We all know the story of Joseph,nobody knew he would be the prime minister,in fact when he was in prison, if his fellow prisoners had known that in few months or days he would be the prime minister of Egypt they would have treated him nice and become friends with him.

But since we don't know when anyone will rise ,we should treat people well and not just criticize every little mistake they make(not even because you want them to get better but because you want to spite them and feel good about yourself)

There is nothing wrong in correcting others or helping them see their mistakes but we shouldn't do it in a way that makes them feel less of themselves...because the first can be the last.

I read a Facebook post many years back and it has served as a lesson to me,I don't remember word for word but the lesson is this;Whenever you're up /in a high position and you treat people below you badly.....because life happens sometimes and people fall,on the way down..... people you have stepped on might actually be above you.

Anything can happen,the same way a poor man can be rich overnight is the same way a rich man can be poor overnight.........Let us learn how to treat people well

Whoever you are,you need people to rise,if God wants to bless you,he uses people so don't treat people badly,correct with love,say nice things to your loved ones.
