¡Vamos de compras, que el día está nublado y fresco!

Parece una idea divertida salir cuando el ambiente está nublado, fresquito y chill, pero no hay nada más lejos de la realidad cuando vives en una ciudad que se vuelve un mundo acuático al comenzar la temporada de lluvia.

He regresado a Portuguesa para visitar a mis padres y la ciudad me recibió con un rocío que presagiaba los días de lluvia por venir. Llegué el domingo por la tarde y al siguiente día mi mamá ya había planeado una salida para darme un regalo de cumpleaños 😅 mi cumpleaños fue en marzo y mi mamá no pudo viajar hasta donde vivo para festejar, pero desde hace rato me había contado que quería obsequiarme algo y bueno se le ocurrió la idea de que yo escogiera algo de mi agrado en el centro.

Al otro día nos despertamos con la emoción de ir de compras y el diluvio que hubo ese día no nos dejó salir ni a la esquina. Claro, no es que vamos de compras todos los días porque tampoco somos las Kardashian 😅, pero si planeamos al menos tres salidas para comprar una que otra cosa innecesaria, yo le llamo a esas salidas “compras de temu” 😅. Es un plan moderno si a sus madres les gusta ir de compras y con 15 dólares se pasa una tarde chévere (si no está lloviendo).

Por otro lado, cuando mi mamá viaja a Barquisimeto, las salidas que planeo son para conocer lugares, hacer caminatas y comer algún postre diferente a lo de siempre. En fin... tuvimos que posponer la salida al centro para el siguiente día, el martes y ese día también parecía que llovería bastante. Y así nos fuimos al centro, aunque yo me llevé mi paraguas, obviamente no fue suficiente porque cuando las calles se vuelven casi navegables, es toda una travesía cruzar de una calle a otra.

Hice el intento de tomar fotos mientras el agua nos cubría los zapatos, pero fue imposible porque la verdad lo que menos quieres es quedarte con los pies llenos de agua, yo pensaba “mis pobres zapaticos recién lavados” 😂. Y así llegamos a una tienda llamada Kazamarca o casamarka no recuerdo, fue la segunda a la que entramos y allí por suerte encontré varias cosas de mi gusto, tenían que gustarme sí o sí porque la lluvia y las calles no nos dejaron caminar para nada.

A mi mamá no le quedó más opción que comprar un paraguas porque al ir a su trabajo se mojaría, recorrimos dos o tres lugares y encontró un paraguas bastante económico. Ahí nos despedimos, ella se fue a su trabajo y yo regresé a casa, o ese era mi plan. La parada donde tomaría el autobús está cerca de Traki (Tienda de ropa y varias cosas más) así que con la excusa de esperar que la lluvia se calmara un poco, entré a ver y terminé comprando un top 😭 fui débil y me dejé llevar por la oferta ¡Jaja! Yo no soy de comprar tops todo el tiempo porque siempre estoy recibiendo regalos y las prendas me duran muchísimo, es la suerte de ser petite y pesar lo mismo por años 🤭.

La degustación de helado quedó para una próxima salida porque con esta lo ideal habría sido un par de botas de goma y un bote. Aunque nos mojamos pasamos una mañana bastante chévere. Eso sí, para la próxima mejor nos quedamos en casa porque mi cabello y zapatos no me permiten otra salida así 🤭

¿Lección aprendida?

Ehm yo digo que sí, pero también es probable que me vuelvan a ver por aquí con mi frizz, mi paraguas verde y comiendo helado 🌦️ ¡jaja!

Let's go shopping, it's cloudy and cool!

It seems like a fun idea to go out when the atmosphere is cloudy, cool and chill, but nothing could be further from the truth when you live in a city that turns into a watery world at the beginning of the rainy season.

I have returned to Portuguesa to visit my parents and the city greeted me with a dew that presaged the rainy days to come. I arrived on Sunday afternoon and the next day my mom had already planned an outing to give me a birthday gift 😅 my birthday was in March and my mom could not travel to where I live to celebrate, but she had told me a while ago that she wanted to give me a gift and well she came up with the idea of me choosing something I liked in the center.

The next day we woke up with the excitement of going shopping and the deluge that day did not even let us go out to the corner. Of course, it's not that we go shopping every day because we are not the Kardashian 😅, but if we plan at least three outings to buy one or another unnecessary thing, I call those outings “temu shopping” 😅. It's a trendy plan if your moms like to shop and $15 makes for a cool afternoon (if it's not raining).

On the other hand, when my mom travels to Barquisimeto, the outings I plan are to see places, take walks and eat a different dessert than usual. Anyway... We had to postpone the trip downtown for the next day, Tuesday, and that day it also looked like it would rain a lot. And so we went downtown, although I took my umbrella, obviously it was not enough because when the streets become almost navigable, it is quite a journey to cross from one street to another.

I tried to take pictures while the water covered our shoes, but it was impossible because the truth is that the least you want is to stay with your feet full of water, I thought “my poor freshly washed shoes” 😂. And so we arrived to a store called Kazamarca or casamarka I don't remember, it was the second one we entered and there luckily I found several things I liked, I had to like them because the rain and the streets didn't let us walk at all.

My mom had no choice but to buy an umbrella because she would get wet on her way to work, we went to two or three places and she found an umbrella quite cheap. There we said goodbye, she went to work and I returned home, or that was my plan. The stop where I would take the bus is near Traki (clothing store and several other things) so with the excuse of waiting for the rain to calm down a bit, I went in to see and ended up buying a top 😭 I was weak and got carried away by the offer haha! I'm not one to buy tops all the time because I'm always getting gifts and the clothes last me a lot, it's the luck of being petite and weighing the same for years 🤭.

The ice cream tasting was left for a future outing because with this one the ideal would have been a pair of rubber boots and a boat. Although we got wet we had a pretty cool morning. Of course, for the next one we'd better stay at home because my hair and shoes won't allow me to go out like this 🤭.

Lesson learned?

Ehm I say yes, but it's also likely you'll see me here again with my frizz, my green umbrella and eating ice cream 🌦️ haha!
