Saludos 🐝 a todos los lectores aventureros, hoy les cuento que:

Fuimos de paseo al Monumento a la Virgen 🤭 esta es la primera vez que voy y la segunda de mi esposo ya que él vivió parte de su adolescencia en Trujillo, pero no tuvo la oportunidad de ir tan seguido allí. Creo que con una vez que se vaya es suficiente para llenar el alma aventurera.

Fue inaugurada en el año 1983 y quien diseñó la escultura fue Manuel de la Fuente, tardo 18 meses en terminar esta descomunal escultura de índole mariana, la construcción del rostro y manos se hizo en tierra y luego se subió con ascensores ideados por los trabajadores, todo esto desafiando la gravedad. Mide 46 metros de altura, superando la Estatua de La Libertad y el Cristo Redentor que se encuentra en Brasil.

La Virgen se ve desde la ciudad de Trujillo, pero cuando vas en el Jeep puedes ver que su imagen minúscula se convierte en una imponente Virgen María, que desde su verde pedestal da esperanza a todos los fieles trujillanos que confían en su resguardo y bendición.

Para tomar una foto desde este ángulo, tuvimos que caminar por un sendero bastante inclinado, que lleva hacía "la gruta" el lugar donde apareció la virgen por primera vez.

En esta visita fuimos 5 personas y al llegar a la parada nos montamos en el Jeep, no había más turistas o locales por subir, así que para poder emprender este viaje tuvimos que pagar 3 asientos extras, ya que el chófer solo sube al tener el carro lleno, o sea un total de 8 personas. ¿Económico? Opino que sí, cada puesto tenía un costo de 180 bolívares y la verdad es que subir caminando era difícil, aunque nos dijeron que en ciertas fechas las personas suben a pie, a manera de peregrinación.

Llegamos y compramos los boletos que costaron 120 bolívares cada uno. Observamos varias fotos que mostraban el proceso de construcción y nada más el hecho de que estaban haciendo una construcción tan grande en plena montaña lo vuelve impresionante, claro, también te hace cuestionar cosas como: ¿Hasta dónde es capaz de llegar el hombre, solo por dejar su huella? Para pensar, ¿verdad?

El clima allí estaba bastante fresco a pesar del sol que había 😅, lo primero que hicimos fue apreciar la vista que teníamos de la ciudad, que era hermosa. Después entramos a esta capilla en forma de cúpula que tenía una acústica ¡Wao! Impresionante, el sonido era irreal, creo que nunca había experimentado la acústica en toda su expresión 😅.

¡A subir!, 200 escalones parece mucho, pero se sube con mucha tranquilidad y sin cansancio, había visto varios videos en YouTube que venden la idea de que es agotador y en cierto modo una experiencia un poquito claustrofóbica, la realidad es todo lo contrario, subes tranquilamente y cada ciertos metros hay miradores donde puedes tomar un respiro y fotos 🤭.

Mientras más subes, el clima se siente más frío, pero no tanto como para usar abrigo, bueno también tienen que tomar en cuenta que nosotros fuimos en un momento muy caluroso para Trujillo.

Fuimos un día lunes, así que estaba un poco solo el lugar, los vendedores de artesanía nos contaron que los fines de semana está lleno de turistas de distintos países y se les trata a todos con la misma amabilidad y cariño que tratan a las personas locales.

Si pasan por el Estado Trujillo vayan a darse un paseo por allá, así contribuimos de alguna forma con las personas que trabajan allí, casi todos vienen de comunidades que están lejos de la ciudad, haciendo que su fuente de trabajo sea la siembra de hortalizas y la venta de artesanías los fines de semana.

¡Fue una bonita experiencia! Y sin dudar los invito a visitar el Monumento a la Virgen de la Paz, nos vemos en otro post lleno de paisajes, anécdotas y por supuesto montañas 🌿 creo que ya se dieron cuenta que tengo un amor inmenso hacia las montañas.

Economical? I think so, each seat had a cost of 180 bolivars and the truth is that walking up was difficult, although we were told that on certain dates people go up on foot, as a pilgrimage.

We saw several photos showing the construction process and the fact that they were doing such a big construction in the middle of the mountain makes it impressive, of course, it also makes you question things like: How far is man capable of going, just to leave his mark? Food for thought, right?

The weather there was quite cool despite the sun that was there 😅, the first thing we did was to appreciate the view we had of the city, which was beautiful. Then we entered this dome-shaped chapel that had an acoustics wao! Impressive, the sound was unreal, I don't think I had ever experienced acoustics in all its expression 😅.

Let's go up, 200 steps seems like a lot, but you climb very quietly and without fatigue, I had seen several videos on YouTube that sell the idea that it is exhausting and somehow a little claustrophobic experience, the reality is quite the opposite, you climb quietly and every few meters there are viewpoints where you can take a breather and photos 🤭.

The more you go up, the colder the weather gets, but not so much that you have to wear a coat, well you also have to take into account that we went at a very hot time for Trujillo.

We went on a Monday, so the place was a bit lonely, the handicraft vendors told us that on weekends it is full of tourists from different countries and they are all treated with the same kindness and affection that they treat the local people.

If you pass through the State of Trujillo go for a walk there, so we contribute in some way with the people who work there, almost all come from communities that are far from the city, making their source of work is planting vegetables and selling handicrafts on weekends.
