Our Simple Provincial Life: My Sister Garden and Little Things We Enjoy

Hi Hive friends! 🌿

One thing I love about living in the province is the simple and peaceful life. You don't need to go far just to get some ingredients for cooking. Sometimes, you only need to step outside your house and pick what you need from your garden.

During my visit to my sister's house, I had a chance to look around their little garden. I was amazed because even though their house is located in the city, my brother-in-law still managed to grow different plants and vegetables outside.

There were native chili, lemongrass, papaya, and malunggay. These are simple plants, but very useful in our everyday cooking. If we need chili for our dishes, we can just pick some. If we want to cook tinola, we can get tanglad or malunggay from outside. Fresh ingredients are just within reach!

I also saw their lovely flowers and some of the animals they take care of. They have dogs and cats, and they also keep fish. It makes their place feel more alive and welcoming.

My sister and her husband decided to move to the farm, so they are now renting out their house in the city. They chose to enjoy farm life, where they can have more space and grow more plants.

My brother-in-law is really hardworking. Even in the city, he still finds time to take care of vegetables and flowers. Looking at his plants makes me say, Sana all! Haha! My sister is also a hardworking woman, so I can say they are a good team.

I admire people who know how to make use of the little space they have. You don't need a big farm to start growing your own food. Even a small area outside your house can become a useful garden.

This is one thing I appreciate about provincial living. A quiet environment, fresh vegetables, beautiful plants, and animals around you. These little things make everyday life more meaningful.

Sometimes, a simple life is already a beautiful blessing.
