I hope you are all well. I haven't posted here in a while because I've been busy with university. So, when I had a quiet moment, I decided to come back with a recommendation for one of my favourite romantic comedy anime series, called Skip Beat!
This is a romantic comedy anime where hatred and the path of revenge are transformed into an adventure of self-discovery, overcoming obstacles, and empowerment through the world of entertainment and the lights and spotlight of show business.
The story follows the protagonist Kyoko Mogami, a young teenager who sacrificed her entire life to live for Sho Fuwa, her childhood best friend and the boy she was in love with. Sho's parents raised her from a very young age and saw her as his future wife. But Sho's dream was always to be a big star, so Kyoko did everything she could to help him on his way to stardom, becoming almost his servant.
However, after overhearing a conversation between Sho and his manager, she discovers that Sho is only using her and sees her as his property and his servant. After hearing this, Kyoko, furious, confronts Sho and declares that she will destroy him in the world he loves so much, the world of show business. He mocks her, saying that a girl like her will never be famous. After this, Kyoko vows to become an even brighter superstar than Sho.
After a radical change of look, Kyoko begins her journey into the world of show business, where she will face not only professional challenges that will hinder her goal of destroying Sho, but also emotional ones, because after her disappointment with Sho, she seems to have lost the ability to love and is filled with only anger and a desire for revenge. If she wants to be a star, she must love, something necessary for acting.
Even so, she has talent (especially as a villain), so the entertainment company that accepted her decides to assign her to the "love me" department, where she begins her journey to love again and discovers what she is capable of.
This is a very funny, hilarious and dramatic story, especially because of the protagonist Kyoko, who is very eccentric, so when she sets out to destroy Sho, she goes overboard. She has an innate talent for "evil", as she is very good at being a villain, although in reality she is a very good person. She was abandoned by her mother when she was a child and Sho's parents took care of her, raising her in the traditional Japanese style. Along the way, she meets Ren Tsuruga, the person Sho hates the most because he is more famous and handsome than him. With Ren, she learns to see the world of show business differently, and he gradually becomes her mentor and romantic interest.
This anime has a total of 25 episodes with a classic style reminiscent of 2000s anime. Although the anime does not cover the entire manga, and as I was left wanting more the first time I saw it, I had to go there, which in fact is still currently airing. In conclusion, I consider it a great romantic comedy anime to spend some time laughing, watching drama and enjoying a beautiful story of love and revenge.

Espero que se encuentren bien. Hace tiempo que no publicaba por aquí porque estaba ocupada con la universidad. Por lo que, cuando tuve un momento de tranquilidad, decidí volver haciendo una recomendación de uno de mis animes de comedia romántica favoritos, de nombre: Skip Beat!
Este es un anime de comedia romántica donde el odio y el camino de la venganza se transforman en una aventura de autodescubrimiento, superación y empoderamiento a través del mundo del entretenimiento y las luces y reflectores del espectáculo.
La historia sigue a la protagonista Kyoko Mogami, una joven adolescente que sacrificó toda su vida para vivir por Sho Fuwa, su mejor amigo de la infancia y del cual estaba enamorada. Los padres de Sho la criaron desde que era muy pequeña, y la veían como su futura esposa. Pero el sueño de Sho siempre fue ser una gran estrella, por lo que Kyoko hizo de todo para ayudarlo en su camino al estrellato, convirtiéndose casi en su sirvienta.
Sin embargo, tras escuchar a escondidas una conversación entre Sho y su manager, descubre que el Sho solo la utiliza y la ve como su propiedad y a la vez su sirvienta. Tras escuchar esto, Kyoko, furiosa, enfrenta a Sho y declara que lo destruirá en el mundo que tanto ama, el mundo del espectáculo. Este se burla diciendo que una chica como ella jamás será famosa; tras esto, Kyoko jura convertirse en una superestrella aún más brillante que Sho.
Tras un radical cambio de look, Kyoko inicia su camino para entrar al mundo del espectáculo, donde no solo enfrentará desafíos profesionales que harán de obstáculos en su objetivo de acabar con Sho, sino también emocionales, porque tras su desilusión con Sho parece haber perdido la capacidad de amar y solo existe la ira y el deseo de venganza. Y si quiere ser una estrella, debe amar, algo necesario para actuar.
Aun así tiene talento (sobre todo para villana), por lo que la empresa de entretenimiento que la aceptó decide asignarla al departamento “love me”, donde comienza su camino para volver a amar y descubrir lo que puede llegar a hacer.
Esta es una historia muy graciosa, hilarante y dramática, sobre todo por la protagonista Kyoko, que es muy excéntrica, por lo que cuando se propone acabar con Sho, sobrepasa los límites. Tiene un talento innato para la “maldad”, pues se le da muy bien para hacer de villana, aunque en realidad es una muy buena persona. Fue abandonada de pequeña por su madre y los padres de Sho la cuidaron. En su camino conocerá a Ren Tsuruga, la persona que Sho más odia, porque es más famoso y guapo que él. Con Ren aprenderá a ver el mundo del espectáculo de manera distinta y él poco a poco se convierte en su mentor e interés romántico.
Este anime tiene un total de 25 episodios con un estilo clásico de los animes de los 2000s. Aunque el anime no cubre todo el manga y como quedé con ganas de más la primera vez que la vi, fui al manga, que de hecho actualmente sigue en emisión. En conclusión, lo considero un gran anime de comedia romántica para pasar un rato entre risas, drama y una linda historia de amor y venganza.
