Good afternoon, friends! I hope you're having a great week. For my part, I'm happy to stop by to share a lovely idea with you. This time, I'm sharing the step-by-step instructions for making a cute Christmas decoration for the lock. That's right! We're already starting with these beautiful Christmas decorations. Last week, I was preparing my list of creations for each week until January 1st, if I'm not mistaken. This time, I focused on small decorations, maybe a pendant, and, of course, a little house, which I absolutely must have and which I love making so much. Otherwise, I wanted to make creations I don't usually make. So, this year, we're starting with a cute pendant for the lock.

🌟 PROCEDIMIENTO | 🌟 PROCESS
✨PASO 1:
Lo primero, como siempre, es tomar una hoja blanca y comenzar a dibujar el diseño que queremos para esta linda decoración o, si ustedes prefieren, buscar referencias; también está perfecto. Por mi parte, hice varios bocetos, jaja, pues primero pensé en un niño con pijama y un trineo, pero luego, dibujando, me quedó esta idea que me gustó más; claro que cambié algunos detalles para que se vieran mejor a la hora de armarlo en foami. Al tener lista la idea, transferimos a los colores correspondientes de foami, como explico a continuación.
✨Gorro navideño: 6 cm x 2 cm en foami rojo.
✨Otras piezas del gorro: 5 cm x 1 cm y 1 cm de circunferencia.
✨Cabello: 4.5 cm x 2 cm y 2.5 cm x 1.5 cm en foami marrón.
✨Cabeza: 5.5 cm x 3 cm en foami crema.
✨Manos: 1 cm x 0.8 mm en foami crema.
✨Saco: 5.5 cm x 4 cm en foami marrón.
✨Parte superior del saco: 7 cm x 1 cm en foami escarchado blanco.
✨Regalo: 5 cm x 3 cm en foami amarillo.
✨Lazo: 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm en foami amarillo.
✨STEP 1:
The first thing, as always, is to take a blank sheet of paper and start drawing the design we want for this cute decoration, or, if you prefer, look for references; that's also perfectly fine. I made several sketches, haha. At first, I thought of a child in pajamas and riding a sleigh, but then, as I drew, I came up with this idea that I liked better. Of course, I changed some details to make it more visible when assembling it in foam. Once I had the idea ready, we transferred it to the corresponding colors of foam, as explained below.
✨Christmas hat: 6 cm x 2 cm in red foam.
✨Other hat pieces: 5 cm x 1 cm and 1 cm in circumference.
✨Hair: 4.5 cm x 2 cm and 2.5 cm x 1.5 cm in brown foam.
✨Head: 5.5 cm x 3 cm in cream foam.
✨Hands: 1 cm x 0.8 mm in cream foam.
✨Sack: 5.5 cm x 4 cm in brown foam.
✨Sack top: 7 cm x 1 cm in white frosted foam.
✨Gift: 5 cm x 3 cm in yellow foam.
✨Bow: 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm in yellow foam.

✨PASO 2:
Ahora vienen mis pasos favoritos, que es darle color a los bordes, que es para dar sombras o profundidad a las piezas, como siempre o casi siempre, utilizando colores más oscuros o que den un contraste. En este caso me gusta que todas las decoraciones navideñas se veían cálidas, así que utilicé marrón para casi todas las piezas, negro, rojo y para el regalo un tono naranja.
✨STEP 2:
Now comes my favorite step, which is to color the edges, which adds shadows or depth to the pieces. As always, or almost always, I use darker or contrasting colors. In this case, I like all the Christmas decorations to look warm, so I used brown for almost all the pieces, black, red, and an orange tone for the gift.

✨PASO 3:
Al estar secas las piezas, es momento de dibujar o dar detalles más específicos con marcadores, como sería el rostro, definir el cabello, el gorro, el regalo junto con el lazo y el saco de Navidad, al cual también le escribí en medio Feliz Navidad. Al estar listos los detalles, es momento de pegar hasta armar la decoración, que en este caso comencé pegando la cabeza, el gorro, seguido del regalo, el saco y uní hasta formar.
✨STEP 3:
Once the pieces are dry, it's time to draw or add more specific details with markers, such as the face, defining the hair, the hat, the gift along with the bow, and the Christmas sack, which I also wrote "Merry Christmas" in the middle. Once the details are ready, it's time to glue down the decoration. In this case, I started by gluing the head, the hat, followed by the gift, and the sack, joining them together until they were complete.

✨PASO 4:
Ahora es momento de hacer el diseño de la base que colgará en la cerradura, la cual quise hacer parecida a un gancho de ropa. Así que, al tener el diseño pensado, simplemente tomé el foami rojo, dibujé y recorté con las siguientes medidas: 11.5 cm x 11 cm y el gancho (por llamarlo de alguna forma), 5 cm x 4.5 cm. Le di color a los bordes con pintura negra y con marcador le hice un diseño de ladrillos, mientras que al “gancho” le di un diseño de bastón y algunos copos de nieve con pintura blanca. Al estar todo seco, pegué la decoración en medio de la base.
✨STEP 4:
Now it's time to design the base that will hang on the keyhole, which I wanted to make look like a clothes hanger. So, once I had the design in mind, I simply took the red foam, drew, and cut it out with the following measurements: 11.5 cm x 11 cm, and the hook (if you will), 5 cm x 4.5 cm. I colored the edges with black paint and made a brick design with a marker, while the "hook" had a cane design and some snowflakes with white paint. Once everything was dry, I glued the decoration in the middle of the base.
