How SPS helped my investment targets on Leo, Hive and PoB

My internal goals achieved
Usually not often writing about investment stuff, tokens and tribes a lot but today a little exception to tell all (no idea if someone is interested at all) that I have made a step for myself. Since the Steem(it) disaster I was not automatically converting all Steem to Hive but focused to add most into Splinterlands. Pretty sure most of you guys are playing, investing there or at least saw what happened recently with massive influx of new players and the crazy SPS / DEC airdrop prize increases.
SPS helped me to achieve all goals
So I just felt now it was the time to hit my personal goals finally on the Hive ecosystem regarding target amount of tokens:
- 60k Hive (also to become an Orca finally)
- 5k LEO
- 5k PoB
Most of the stuff was enabled by SPS and I am now kind of solid in these three different token areas. Hive was a must as we are all Hive folks, Hive is the basis for many communities, tribes, Games, DApps and friendship amongst people that probably never would have met without Hive. LEO is still the tribe / token where i see most development (maybe sometimes a bit too much haha) but I think there is potential and a role-model for other initiatives around Hive and especially how to open gates towards other blockchains. PoB is a tribe I was a bit late, maybe not too late - i know several do not like them or some background details - I consider their model to combine BTC and LEO approaches (the 21 cap on PoB like on BTC is pretty interesting, we will see how it develops) and will for sure not sell my stake (which is only around Top 40 right now).
What are your favourite tokens on the hive chain and what is your prediction for Splinterlands and its tokens SPS, DEC, SPT moving forward?

Congrats, got Splinterlands fomo, and am angry about myself that I have not bought cards when they were cheaper ;)
Yeah I understand - just today I bought also cards (6-7 I think) worth $3,000 - it is crazy :-)
Same here^^. Granted, I am 4 weeks in, but in that time alone, the card prices spiked quite a bit.

I am content with my Hive at the moment. I didn't research the other token, other than DEC and SPS :o). I'm an avid new-ish Splinterlands player and intend to go far with this game. I stake my SPS and hold on to my DEC until Chaos Legion comes out.

Unfortunately for me I have sold 2 POB.
That's a big stake for those that are not holding any. It yielded me one hive which I used to buy spt, not sure why
SPT is still better than POB. At least people are not going to put you into their mute/ignore list just because you do not stake your tokens. Currently I am thinking about selling all of my POB and LEO because of the ongoing censorship in those communities.

We are looking into this H-E option at the moment but first wanna launch tournaments and then consider other new features, options.
It's interesting that it is an option as opposed to an eventual progression.
Does that mean that this was never ever going to have at all to begin with. Just curious because there are these "NFT" players that is made on the hive blockchain yet the native token "Rabona" is not even on H-E.
there is some historic background for not using H-E yet (related to ETH as an example -was before my time) but we will see :-)
From memory didn't Rabona makers also made that space game on Steem/Hive as well?
It's pretty lame that its been a good game and am sure would succeed more if it implemented H-E whole heartedly.
Makes me wonder if its a pump and dump type since its not on H-E. I mean getting hive for being placed in a league is good but it doesn't give me any vote of confidence that it is not using Hive to its full potential.
All I can say is the appeal is there since football is a global phenomenon.
Yes - you mean nextcolony that was done also bei @rondras - was before my times on Rabona. Get your thoughts on H-E in general, we might consider again but Rabona is for sure no pump and dump type, all are committed to make this game a long lasting one and hey we are in season 45 already :-). The none H-E listing has some historic background i can not answer in detail to be honest.
Pump and dump. It kinda makes me worried when I look back on next colony because I put hours on that game and to get it shut off.
When I look at games and investing in them all that gets me is time on the game sinked into it. That is the investment.
So when I am now sinking time on rabona and it not being fully implemented into hive. It kinda makes me thoughtful that it could be just in the cusps of disappearing into the abyss.
Seasons are short lived so 45 is not that long or big of a deal to me. If you catch my drift.
Plus other than your post here I have not seen any recent announcement or status to the game and is plans.
Hmmm not sure why you always link serious effort to H-E only, we try to Update more frequently since a while
Because having too many chains, side chains then different wallets.
Its all going out of the ease or the control in an account. I mean why not use H-E when the game is already on hive anyway. And besides if you build a good game, and I can say this game has depth so you will always find players. But if you get them to create here and then create there just to play the game then it just gets to a stage where they will just to find something else to do.
Like play football manager on pc or console. There is a fine line between an enjoyable experience and the pull of making crypto since there are boundless amounts of games being released all the time. You get what I mean?
Updates are great but that is not what we are discussing here. Lets stick to the topic and not add things just to distract the issue.
Let me comment on why we did not implement a HIVE Engine token: The way all games on Hive are implemented today you need to rely on a central game server as Hive does not have a smart contract functionality. So even if we would implement a Hive engine token this would not change the risk that we shut down these servers - which we definitely not plan to do.
When Rabona was born, Hive Engine was basically a centralised service with no real level of decentralisation. This is the reason why we at that point in time decided not to do a token there as it would have meant that you add another layer of centralised services.
I agree that HE today is different from a year ago and we might at some point reconsider this decision. But this was the rationale why we did it this way.
Only time will tell what you guys will do.

Yeah - just wait and then judge - I know other games on the chain which are in my view total boring shit and I personally do not care whether they have HIVe engine token or not. Let me be honest, seeing Splinterlands being the massive game these days I would not be surprised they would leave either for another chain or create their own (especially when I see that Aggy is no Top 20 Witness anymore - I would be aggressive in his case but also sure he is not suffering that much in gneral).
Would be sad as I am on this ecosystem since over 5 years but who knows. So many people talk about Wax or ETH to be the gaming chains. I usually judge by the guys I know and I trust which is difficult of course in our case for you :-).
