✨A full day of sightseeing in Maracay✨
Hola a todos, espero que se encuentren muy bien. En esta grata oportunidad, quiero presentarles un poco sobre el turismo en Maracay un domingo espero que les agrade. 🫶🏻🤗
I started my journey at 10 in the morning, heading to a shopping mall with a rather interesting history. I'm referring to the Central Station Shopping Mall, which was formerly a train station that operated in Maracay in the 1950s. Over time, it fell into disrepair, and obviously, the trains stopped running there, leaving the structure frozen in time. More than five years ago, a group of owners acquired it and transformed it into a shopping mall that preserves the original structure of the train station and part of its history. I decided to go to the food court, which has a beautiful open-air lobby, to enjoy a milkshake. I took advantage of the clear morning and took these photos.
Comencé mi viaje a las 10 de la mañana, dirigiéndome a un centro comercial con una historia bastante interesante. Me refiero al centro comercial Estación Central, que anteriormente era una estación de tren que operaba en Maracay en los años 50. Con el tiempo, se fue deteriorando y, obviamente, los trenes dejaron de funcionar aquí, quedando la estructura paralizada en el tiempo. Hace más de cinco años, un grupo de propietarios la adquirió y transformó en un centro comercial que conserva la estructura original de la estación de tren y parte de su historia. Decidí ir a la zona de comidas, que cuenta con un hermoso lobby al aire libre, para disfrutar de un batido. Aproveché que la mañana estaba despejada y tomé estas foto
I was able to test my camera, since I had time to configure it and use functions such as street photography, among others, and I quite liked the result.
Pude probar mi cámara, ya que tuve tiempo de configurarla y utilizar funciones como la fotografía callejera, entre otras, y el resultado me gustó bastante.
After staying in the mall from 10 to approximately 2, enjoying a smoothie and touring the open stores, I went to Plaza Bolívar for a while. This square has a section where there are trees that provide a lot of shade. Personally, I really like this type of tree, since they generate peace in me; They are lush and a bit far from traffic in that area. Also, the sky was spectacularly clear.
Después de permanecer en el centro comercial desde las 10 hasta aproximadamente las 2, disfrutando de un batido y recorriendo las tiendas abiertas, me dirigí un rato a la Plaza Bolívar. Esta plaza cuenta con una sección donde hay árboles que brindan mucha sombra. Personalmente, me gustan mucho este tipo de árboles, ya que me generan paz; son frondosos y están un poco alejados del tráfico de esa zona. Además, el cielo estaba espectacularmente claro.
By 5 o'clock it began to sunset and the sky was dyed yellow. From the area where I was sitting, it was much more appreciated, so I took the opportunity to take photos of the combination of the sun's rays with the clouds and the attractive effect they create.
Ya para las 5 comenzó a atardecer y el cielo se tiñó de amarillo. Desde la zona en la que me encontraba sentada, se apreciaba mucho más, así que aproveché para tomar fotos de la combinación de los rayos del sol con las nubes y el efecto tan atractivo que crean.
Bolívar Square is quite attractive. You'll always find new angles to take countless photos; so the lighthouse and the backdrop of the flagpoles, along with the sunset, were my favorite image of the day. Unusually for Maracay, the weather was mild; there was sunshine, but it wasn't intensely hot as it usually is, nor was it cloudy. It was a clear and peaceful day, something I hadn't seen in the city for a long time.
La Plaza Bolívar es bastante atractiva. Siempre encontrarás nuevos ángulos para tomar una infinidad de fotos; así que el faro y el fondo de las astas de las banderas, junto con el atardecer, fueron mi imagen favorita del día. Algo raro en Maracay era que el clima estaba templado; había sol, pero no hacía calor intenso como suele ocurrir, y tampoco estaba nublado. Era un día despejado y tranquilo, algo que hacía tiempo no veía en la ciudad.
I highly recommend doing these activities at least once a week, as they help us disconnect and, in some ways, appreciate what we have even more. We often don't realize that the world around us is naturally wonderful and perfect because we're so focused on the busy lives we lead in this city or anywhere else in the world. Sitting down to observe and understand it is simply one of the wonderful things that make us human. Thank you so much for reading my post and making it this far. Recomiendo encarecidamente realizar estas actividades al menos una vez a la semana, ya que nos ayudan a desconectarnos y, en ciertos aspectos, a valorar más lo que tenemos. A menudo no nos damos cuenta de que el mundo que nos rodea es naturalmente maravilloso y perfecto, porque estamos tan concentrados en la vida ajetreada que llevamos en esta ciudad o en cualquier otra parte del mundo.
