Hola hola, a toda la comunidad de Hive, en esta ocasión les quiero compartir mi experiencia contando cuentos en diferentes escenarios, ¿A qué me refiero con esto? Yo he tenido que hacer un gran esfuerzo por aprender a proyectar mi voz, ya que esta era muy suave, se podría decir que no sabía gritar ni hablar en voz alta, y ese es uno de los ejercicios que aprendí como cuentacuentos, porque lamentablemente no a todos los lugares que vamos hay un micrófono que nos permita llevar el sonido a distancias mas lejanas de las que nuestra voz natural puede, y esto también depende de la cantidad de público asistente. Es cierto que el micrófono es una herramienta que bien utilizada es de gran ayuda para que no forcemos nuestra voz, igualmente como cuentacuentos aprendemos acentos y entonación en la voz, a gestualizar, tener dicción y expresión corporal, temas de los que iré hablando poco a poco en mis publicaciones.

He tenido la oportunidad de presentarme en patios de escuelas, teatros, auditorios, librerías, en un bar, en un café, una vez estuve tanto en la radio como en la televisión en donde conté un cuento corto para promocionar mi unipersonal, el cual es mi trabajo de graduación de La Escuela de Narración Oral Antonio González Beltrán que es donde me formé, para todos estos escenarios debemos estar preparados mental y físicamente, ya que no sabemos con qué herramientas podemos contar. Gracias a Dios la mayoría de las veces si hemos tenido un micrófono que nos ayude a proyectar la voz a todo el público presente, pero sabemos que no siempre es así, por eso nos preparamos y ensayamos.

Claro también hay factores que escapan de nuestras manos como, si el lugar presenta buena acústica, si es un espacio abierto o cerrado, si hay contaminación sónica alrededor, entre otros factores que pueden generar distracción y dificultades al momento de la puesta en escena.

Mi última experiencia en contar cuentos en un espacio abierto y sin micrófono fue justo el 26 de agosto de este año, ya que en ese momento había una función, del nuevo grupo de cuentacuentos, estaban realizando su acto de graduación de La Escuela de Narración Oral Antonio González Beltrán y resulta que vinieron tantas personas a verlos que llenaron la sala, no cabían más personas, comenzó la función y todavía quedaban más de 20 personas afuera esperando a ver la función.

Así que se decidió hacer doble función. Y mientras la mayor parte del público estaba dentro de la sala de funciones presenciando la puesta en escena de los recién graduados, uno de los directores nos dijo a 2 compañeros cuenteros y a mí que por favor entretuviéramos al público que esperaba afuera (sin mucha paciencia) su turno para ver la segunda función con algunos cuentos, nos miramos sorprendidos y muy dispuestos a colaborar, buscamos entre nuestro repertorio algunos cuentos que habíamos ensayado y estaban bien frescos en nuestras mentes, y comenzamos a hacer lo que amamos, contar historias.

Hello hello, to all the Hive community, this time I want to share my experience telling stories in different scenarios, what do I mean by this? I have had to make a great effort to learn to project my voice, as this was very soft, you could say that I could not shout or speak loudly, and that is one of the exercises I learned as a storyteller, because unfortunately not all places we go there is a microphone that allows us to bring the sound to distances farther than our natural voice can, and this also depends on the amount of audience. It is true that the microphone is a tool that well used is a great help for us not to force our voice, also as a storyteller we learn accents and intonation in the voice, to gesture, to have diction and body language, topics that I will talk about little by little in my publications.

I have had the opportunity to perform in school yards, theaters, auditoriums, bookstores, in a bar, in a cafe, once I was both on radio and television where I told a short story to promote my one-man show, which is my graduation work from the School of Oral Narration Antonio González Beltrán which is where I was trained, for all these scenarios we must be prepared mentally and physically, because we do not know what tools we can count on. Thank God most of the time we have had a microphone to help us project our voice to the audience, but we know that it is not always like that, that's why we prepare and rehearse.

Of course there are also factors that are out of our hands, such as whether the place has good acoustics, if it is an open or closed space, if there is sonic pollution around, among other factors that can generate distraction and difficulties at the time of staging.

My last experience in storytelling in an open space and without microphone was just on August 26th of this year, because at that time there was a performance of the new group of storytellers, they were performing their graduation ceremony of the School of Oral Narration Antonio González Beltrán and it turns out that so many people came to see them that they filled the room, there was no more room, the performance began and there were still more than 20 people outside waiting to see the performance.

So it was decided to do a double feature. And while most of the audience was inside the auditorium witnessing the staging of the recent graduates, one of the directors told 2 fellow storytellers and me to please entertain the audience waiting outside (without much patience) their turn to see the second show with some stories, we looked surprised and very willing to collaborate, we searched among our repertoire some stories that we had rehearsed and were very fresh in our minds, and we started doing what we love, telling stories.
