Adaptación del Texto/Adaptation of the Text

Buenas buenas, un gran saludo a toda la comunidad de Hive, en esta ocasión quiero comentarles sobre mi experiencia en la adaptación de cuentos, pues para empezar trabajamos con cuentos literarios, debemos tener un texto que nos guste tanto que nos animemos a aprendérnoslo y a querer compartirlo con el mundo, pero un detalle importante es evitar aprendérselo de memoria, ya que en el momento de la presentación los nervios te pueden traicionar y al olvidar una sola palabra, puedes olvidar todo lo demás. Lo mejor es asociar imágenes al cuento narrado para enlazar las ideas.

Cabe destacar que hay diversos tipos de cuentos y temáticas de los mismo, además de evaluar al publico al que será dirigido, todas estas observaciones las aprendemos los cuentacuentos para poder hacer la mejor adaptación posible, incluyendo nuestro toque personal en lo que queremos narrar, junto a la expresión corporal.

Para explicarme mejor, daré el ejemplo de algunas adaptaciones que he hecho de cuentos largos, que duran más de 2 minutos y son para todo público:

📖-Ejemplo 1: del libro Cuentos a 100 manos, el cuento “Cyber Romance de Carlos Genovese” hay una parte que dice: “Después de intercambiar las primeras señas y las primeras fotos, falsas, por supuesto; decidieron conversar en serio y se dieron cuenta que tenían muchas cosas en común.” (pág. 47)

✏️Mi adaptación: Al poco tiempo de haberse conocido, él le había mandado una foto, para que mi amiga supiera cómo era, se veía hermoso, bellísimo, igualitico a Brad Pitt. Pero tiempo después, mi amiga se dio cuenta de que todo, absolutamente TODO lo que en un principio se habían dicho era mentira, empezando por la foto.

📖-Ejemplo 2: del libro ¡SOCORRO! Doce cuentos para caerse de miedo, escrito por Elsa Bornemann, extraigo una parte del cuento “Manos” que dice: “…las jovencitas ya habían logrado tranquilizarse bastante, a pesar de que la tormenta amenazaba con tornarse inacabable. Las luces se apagaron de golpe.” (pág. 15)

✏️Mi adaptación: …de pronto comenzó a llover, rayos, truenos y relámpagos se oían, y luego las pequeñas lámparas que iluminaban la habitación que estaban en la mesa de noche se apagaron, se había ido la luz.

📖-Ejemplo 3: del libro La vaca sin culpa, escrito por Jaime Lopera y Marta Bernal, les comparto un fragmento del cuento “El Mantel”: “Encontró que la iglesia estaba en pésimas condiciones y que requería mucho trabajo de reparación. Entonces se fijó la meta de tener todo listo para oficiar su primer servicio en la Nochebuena.” (pág. 15)

✏️Mi adaptación: …la iglesia que le asignaron estaba en pésimas condiciones, así que el sacerdote se propuso arreglarla para poder oficiar su primera misa en Nochebuena. Para eso trabajó muchísimo, reparó, limpió, quitó, colocó, acomodó los bancos y al final pintó las paredes.

Por lo que yo entiendo, el objetivo de la adaptación es llevar al público una historia que nos apasiona con un toque nuestro, entendiendo que cada uno le da una interpretación diferente a los hecho y que cada cuentacuento transmitirá cada historia con un toque de humor o misterio que lo caractericen, así como el trayecto de la historia puede variar, el sentido y el mensaje de la misma se debe mantener, para que no pierda su esencia.

Luego de tener cierta experiencia contando cuentos y adaptándolos uno puede crear sus propias historias y adaptarlas de la literatura a la expresión oral, pero hay procesos que respetar y la preparación es importante. Si, hay varios cuenteros que admiro que tienen historias originales, de su autoría y las han preparado y contado en escena, son buenos y no tengo duda: La práctica hace al maestro.

Good morning, a big greeting to all the Hive community, this time I want to tell you about my experience in the adaptation of stories, because to start working with literary stories, we must have a text that we like so much that we encourage us to learn it and want to share it with the world, but an important detail is to avoid learning it by heart, because at the time of the presentation nerves can betray you and forgetting a single word, you can forget everything else. The best thing to do is to associate images to the story to link the ideas.

It should be noted that there are different types of stories and themes of the same, in addition to assessing the audience to which it will be directed, all these observations we learn the storytellers to make the best possible adaptation, including our personal touch in what we want to tell, along with body language.

To explain myself better, I will give the example of some adaptations I have made of long stories, which last more than 2 minutes and are for all audiences:

📖-Example 1: from the book Cuentos a 100 manos, the story "Cyber Romance de Carlos Genovese" there is a part that says: "After exchanging the first signs and the first photos, fake, of course; they decided to talk seriously and realized that they had many things in common". (p. 47)

✏️My adaptation: Soon after they met, he had sent her a picture, so that my friend would know what he looked like, he looked beautiful, gorgeous, just like Brad Pitt. But some time later, my friend realized that everything, absolutely EVERYTHING they had originally told each other was a lie, starting with the photo.

📖-Example 2: from the book ¡SOCORRO! Twelve stories to fall down with fear, written by Elsa Bornemann, I extract a part of the story "Hands" that says: "...the young girls had already managed to calm down quite a bit, even though the storm threatened to become unending. The lights went out all at once." (p. 15)

✏️My adaptation: ...suddenly it began to rain, lightning, thunder and lightning could be heard, and then the small lamps that illuminated the room that were on the night table went out, the light was gone.

📖-Example 3: from the book La vaca sin culpa, written by Jaime Lopera and Marta Bernal, I share with you an excerpt from the story "The Tablecloth": "He found that the church was in terrible condition and needed a lot of repair work. So he set the goal of having everything ready to officiate his first service on Christmas Eve." (p. 15)

✏️My adaptation: ...the church he was assigned was in terrible condition, so the priest set out to fix it up so he could celebrate his first mass on Christmas Eve. He did a lot of work, repaired, cleaned, removed, placed, arranged the pews and finally painted the walls.

From what I understand, the objective of the adaptation is to bring to the public a story that we are passionate about with our own touch, understanding that everyone gives a different interpretation to the facts and that each storyteller will transmit each story with a touch of humor or mystery that characterize it, just as the path of the story may vary, the meaning and message of the story must be maintained, so that it does not lose its essence.

After having some experience telling stories and adapting them, one can create one's own stories and adapt them from literature to oral expression, but there are processes to respect and preparation is important. Yes, there are several storytellers that I admire who have original stories of their authorship and have prepared and told them on stage, they are good and I have no doubt: Practice makes master.
