Interesting question.
Well, I've tried both and the truth was that I liked the coffee with ice cream.
I am not a lover of liquor, and, for me, the combination of this drink with coffee is not good. That time I tried some artisan coffee with a liquor that was quite strong. I didn't like it at all (I had to give it to a friend so he could finish it).
On the other hand, coffee with ice cream is a delight, it is a combination of sweet and bitter flavors that melt in your mouth. My favorite is the combination of vanilla ice cream drowned by a strong espresso. It is very tasty, and as proof, I leave my tasting face 😁

Your face shows that the coffee was good. I also thought that combining coffee and liquor was not for me until some friends gave me black Russian, it is a strong drink, but its flavors combine exquisitely. I also tried the white Russian version that has cream added to it. However, I liked the black Russian better, the contrast of vodka and coffee is amazing.
Maybe I should try it too, I shouldn't rely on just one opinion, but that artisanal coffee with liquor was truly horrible. Around here they sell some varieties that I've only heard about, if I get the chance, I'll try some too.
I understand you regarding craft liqueurs. Sometimes I am very careful to taste them as many of them do not follow the steps to obtain a quality distillate. I hope you dare to combine coffee with ice cream or liqueur, maybe just out of curiosity and to live the experience.
I don't think I'll ever try artisanal coffees with liquor again after this, it's definitely not a good idea.😂

I can tell you are having a great time sipping with the straw and without doubt, I think coffee with ice cream is fantastic.
It is very delicious, I really enjoyed this ice cream coffee, since then I have become addicted to it.

I whole heartedly agree! I find also that the mindsets of when I desire liquor and when I desire coffee rarely overlap. Now a sweet treat and coffee? This is a union that delights me. I loved reading your thoughts on this 😁
It is a mixture that cannot be left out hahaha! When I mix coffee with something, I prefer creamy, it keeps my neurons working and my palate dancing.
