[Week 131] Collection: The soundtrack of my life

Collecting is a passion, spun to the phrase, "Time is gold", who gives his time to a craft, brings value and creates a treasure in the measure of emotions and pleasure.
Music is everything, I am a fan, a fan in love, in the great archive of my memory a melody uncovers a memory, to remember is to live again, Sensational!
Today I want to present you my small collection of compact discs, I wanted to title it; "The soundtrack of my adolescence", because, it was in those years of high school where I spent hours lying in bed, looking at the ceiling with headphones and the discman, I vibrated, I could fly, my skin bristled, to the point of thanking God, the universe, life, for being born in the perfect time.
The love for art grew, I had to go to work and I found the perfect job, ordering shelves in a record store, I was already an adult, that's why this collection is called "The Soundtrack of my life".
I am fascinated by what a record means; a genre in music, a conceptual idea, a proposal, the nakedness of an artist, a work of art, photography, storytelling, breaking the barrier of time and crossing borders.

My first album was a gift from my father in 1999, ¿Dónde están los ladrones? (Where are the thieves?) by Shakira, for me it is the best album of my favorite artist, since then I have followed her career, the evolution of her music, I have all her studio albums since 1995.

Another artist that caught me with his particular style of singing is Mika, it was difficult to find his albums in Venezuela, even so, I managed to get his first 3 studio albums, his music is magical, it seems like the master of ceremonies of a circus, I understand his proposal and I find it masterful, he has managed to project to the world that characteristic that makes him unique in eight billion people.

Other very special discs in my collection, are....
The Best of Savage Garden: Darren Hayes' voice, in my world, is the best voice anyone can have, it's a caress, listening to the songs on this album is to pierce the mirror and travel to an introspective moment in my life, a very pleasurable exercise.
The Very Best of Enya: I remember I heard Enya on the soundtrack of the movie "Gladiator" and I was hooked, I wanted to know more and I discovered Celtic music, indietrónic, mantra, chill out, bossa nova, classical Gregorian, the sounds of the universe, it is a therapeutic album, I listen to it to level my temperament.
Greatest Hits of Britney Spears: A sweet invasion, the school sensation, the choreographies, the choruses looped and catchy as a cycle, she has earned the position of the princess of pop, an icon, my stimuli were not indifferent, I love Britney!
All this music and more, have made my life a musical, I am spectator and protagonist, maybe I am not aware that I want to carry with me always what it means, even if I am a walker, a nomad, they are boxes that do not weigh me down and even without sounding, from a glass case, they illuminate and embellish a living room, it is the magic of collecting.
This is my participation for: [Week 131] Weekend-Engagement concept

I love your music collection
I’d like to have mine on hand and share it too, but it wouldn’t fit in my suitcase
Thank you for visiting me my beautiful diva
Ahhhhj I want to scream with excitement, we have almost the same musical taste, I love Shakira is my favorite artist, I also like Britney Spears.
I have the same Shakira records and it didn't occur to me to put it as a collection example, I can't anymore even if I wanted to 😆😂.
Celtic music is another common taste.
Sending you a hug from one collector to another. 😅
Thank you beautiful friend, I knew that we are 2 dreamers and collectors of experiences.
Nice! I have a large collection of pre-CD disc records, and can very much appreciate your love of music. It is particularly nice to see that it has an emotional impact for you.
I have a number of (digital) Enya albums as well, and love her voice. It is one of the most relaxing and clear I have heard.
Thanks for visiting me, yes, music is medicinal!
