A selfie from five centuries ago

No, it's not a selfie but a display of skill.
Today any of us can play with the phone and edit a photo with an application, perhaps distorting the environment, objects and people, as in this painting.
The work is a self-portrait from five centuries ago, when the camera and the technological demons useful for altering photos did not exist.
The Parmigianino, a painter born in Parma and called with this insignificant reason of his constitution in exile, wanted to improve his technical skills by portraying himself as if reflected in a converse mirror.
After so much time, even though we citizens of the 21st century are now fond of spectacular and impressive photos, the observer is still admired in looking at the figure of the artist, captured in this false mirror by the hand and brush of a painter instead of the lens of a smartphone.
