LOH #87 - A weird food combination from Avocado and fish sauce!

Well, when I read the content of LOH #87 this week, there was one interesting image popped up my mind about my dinner tonight. Whenever I want to have different taste and save time for another work, I always process this great meal in 5 minutes. This combination may familiar with Vietnamese people but the foreigners, I guess. By the way, let's taste this meal if you want after reading this post.

Yeahhhh! As we often see, avocado is a nutrient fruit that used to make smooth, salad or be a material to make sandwiches. In my way, the only thing I need to do is peeling, cutting avocado into many pieces, then using it with fish sauce and eating with rice.

To let the meal have a special flavour, you can add some slice of green chilly to the fish sauce. The tasting deliciously buttery of avocado merge into the saltiness of fish sauce which creates the special flavour for the eaters.

We only have this meal in the season summer because this is the main crop of avocado.

I have known this meal since I was a kid, my village was full of avocado trees. Most of them did not know what to do with avocado without throw it into the trash can. Afterward, the old decided to eat it with rice instead of vegetable.
