A warm greeting to all Ladies!

I have to say that the topics in LOH contest #79 this week hosted by @ladiesofhive attract me a lot, I cannot wait to jump into and pick up the first topic to talk about.^^

Topic 1: Statistically, women tend to be more spiritual than men. From whatever faith — Protestant, Catholic, Muslim, Buddhist, Wiccan, or other — how did it become your faith? What delights, insights, and joys have you discovered?

Faith – an abstract word without any image or shape which human being can easily describe itself in the exact way. In each everyone, faith is defined with the plenty of understandings, no one has the same exact notion about faith.

My faith was existed and built in me when I was a little kid. My mom took me to visit the pagoda in my hometown every night. The first time I have seen the Buddha statue, I got a strong connection inside myself which I could not explain by any word. Inside pagoda, the managing monks spoke in front of a hundred of devout Buddists, he shared a lot of things about cause and effect, reincarnation, eight-fold path, enough of everything in life, life cycle and so on.. With an immature awareness, these words went in at one ear and out at the other, but I still probably wanted visit pagoda to watch the statues and walk around.

When I grew up a bit, I was taught and guided by my mom’s words directly about savoir-faire, compassion, helping people and how to love myself following the teaching of Buddha. Mom said to me “If you have a good heart and give more without any seeking of things in return, the best of everything will come to you”. Though I still did not know how to have a good heart, I had no doubt about it and believed in my mom one hundred percent. She continued say “Daughter, be careful with your words and your action. You will reap what you will sow”. Day after day, these lessons went into my mind unconciously, it shaped my inner-self with a strong belief that a beautiful soul would have a good heart and the acts of kindness.

To confirm for what my mom taught, I myself experienced some certain kinds of situattion happened to me. At that day, my mom gave me 20.000 vnd (~ 0.9$) for munchies. I run quickly to the general store owned by an old man at the entrance to the village. I bought candy and snacks with the total fee of 10.000. When the old man took and give my change with a mistake in amount of money, I already knew it. My mind shouted out to me” You should honestly gave it back to the old man, do not take it all into your wallet”. My greedy rose up with the thought that I will not give it back to the owner. My mind continued to say “If you do not listen to me, you get a similar consequence like this.” I obviously did not care about what my mind warned, even I knew the cause and effect in Buddhism’s lesson, I ignored and thought it will never happpen. Then of course I received all the change from the old man without an easy conscience and came back home with a very excited feeling.

Right after afternoon, I took 50.000 (~2$) from my mom to go to the market with a certain need-to-buy list. When I checked my pocket to pay money for them, I did not see where my money is, I tried to look around and checked all my pockets with wallet. Oh noooo! “It has gone, I lost my money, what the hell is going on", I wishper. Then in a sudden, my mind rose again and laughted at me “ See! I have told you but you threw it away, you reap what you sow.” I was a bit panic from this thing. That was the first time in my life I have been through a unbelievable like that. I wanted to think it just happen accidentally but I could not. From that problems, I did not dare to act such a crooked thing, and have a absolutely faith in the cause and effect rule. The more I experienced with myself, the more I understand and believe in Buddha’s lessons.

Same as the goal of other religion. Buddhism guide people to be better, improve themselves with their inner-self, get a deeper insight into the law of life and respect all the creature in the world and. Every religious has their particular system or method, but in the end, they together reach to one goal on the path. And each person has their own karma to find for them a suitable religious or philosophy.

I am not a devour Buddhist, but I have a deepest gratitude to Buddhism. It is a basic premise for me to build my personality as well as my life style at the first days of a human. From that, I started moving a new step to awake inside me, observe and get the understanding about my inner with what it really is. Besides, I am also aware of what “enough” is in my current life. A life with a right awareness and understanding would be a beautiful life in any circumstance.

For this contest this week, I would love to invite @marbrym 😌to join and share your thought with LOH community ^^😊.
Thank for dropping by and taking time to read my sharing. Have a nice day, you all!
😙

Just as are physical laws that govern the material existence, there are spiritual laws that govern the spirit world, so there is a spiritual blessing or consequence for the moral choices we make. No matter what faith, we not only just to be thankful for God's blessings, but also a blessing to others. I believe are designed for that purpose.
I read an abstract about an event called The first Parliament of Religions that took place years ago. All the major Faiths came together for a conference and agreed on one ideal, "Do unto others as you would have others do for you." A modest start but the Conference never continued.

Thanks for sharing your journey @tuocchu 🙏
