Hello, bees! I was invited by @irenenavarroart to participate in this @snook initiative, for which curiously I was already writing but with the invitation, I was more encouraged haha. Now that I've been writing for a year and things have changed so much for me, I feel that now I can answer these questions because I've seen some similar ones before but I just wasn't clear about the answers.
I invite @pashinni and @jes.seth to participate.
¡Hola, abejas! Me invitó @irenenavarroart a participar en esta iniciativa de @snook, para la que curiosamente ya estaba escribiendo pero con la invitación me animé más jaja. Ahora que llevo un año y que las cosas han cambiado tanto para mi, siento que ahora sí puedo responder estas preguntas, porque he visto algunas parecidas antes pero simplemente no tenía claras las respuestas.

How long have you been on the Blockchain?
I first entered in July 2018, though it feels like longer. I went without writing for a long time due to college and work, as I was so busy for a while, I practically forgot I was here. In December 2020 @irenenavarroart, who came in just a little before me in 2018, told me that Hive now existed and had a different system than I had known before. It took me a while to get my act together to start posting again, but I did on 12/21/2020 and have been pretty consistent ever since.
¿Cuanto tiempo llevas en Blockchain?
Entré por primera vez en julio de 2018, aunque se siente como si fuera más tiempo. Estuve sin escribir largo tiempo debido a la universidad y el trabajo, pues durante un tiempo estuve muy ocupada, prácticamente olvidé que estaba aquí. En diciembre de 2020 @irenenavarroart, quien entró apenas un poco antes que yo en 2018, me dijo que ahora existía Hive y tenía un sistema diferente al que había conocido antes. Me tomó un tiempo organizarme para empezar a postear de nuevo, pero lo hice el 21/12/2020 y desde entonces me he mantenido bastante constante.
What was your experience with cryptocurrencies when you first came to blockchain?
I had gone to some talks about them, Bitcoin was still cheap, I regret not jumping on board at that time; in my defense, at that time I didn't have internet or money, so I wouldn't have been able to either had I decided to.
But that was it, knowing they existed, nothing about how to acquire, hold or use them.
¿Cuál era su experiencia en cryptomonedas cuando llegó por primera vez a la cadena de bloques?
Había ido a unas charlas sobre ellas, el Bitcoin estaba aún barato, lamento no haber saltado a bordo en ese momento; en mi defensa, por esa época no tenía internet ni dinero, así que tampoco habría podido de haberlo decidido.
Pero eso era todo, saber que existían, nada sobre como adquirirlas, retenerlas o usarlas.
What was your writing experience when you first came to blockchain?
I really liked it, I had never done it for blogs but I would fill entire notebooks with made-up stories, I would play role-playing games on Facebook or on forums where we all build stories by writing the part of our characters. I also wrote academically. However, this is where I have had to develop the discipline to do it consistently, and finding my main niche has not been easy, as I have discovered big differences between what interests me as an audience and what interests me as a creator.
¿Cuál era su experiencia en escritura cuando llegó por primera vez a la cadena de bloques?
Me gustaba mucho, nunca lo había hecho para blogs pero llenaba cuadernos enteros de historias inventadas, jugaba a juegos de rol en Facebook o en foros donde todos construimos historias escribiendo la parte de nuestros personajes. También escribía académicamente. Sin embargo, aquí es donde he tenido que desarrollar la disciplina para hacerlo de manera constante, y encontrar mi nicho principal no ha sido fácil, pues he descubierto grandes diferencias entre lo que me interesa como público y lo que me interesa como creadora.
How many people did you know when you first came to the Blockchain?
I knew three people, @aire.delmar, @irenenavarroart, and @jokossita, who was the one who initially explained to me, I tried to create an account then but made a mistake, and tried again sometime later, so although it was Irene who most encouraged me to enter, technically I knew the blockchain before her haha, time is relative.
¿Cuántas personas conocía cuando llegó por primera vez a la Blockchain?
Conocía tres personas, @aire.delmar, a @irenenavarroart y a @jokossita, quien fue la que inicialmente me explicó, intenté crear una cuenta entonces pero cometí un error, y lo volví a intentar un tiempo después, por eso aunque fue Irene quien más me animó a entrar, técnicamente conocí la blockchain antes que ella jaja, el tiempo es relativo.
How did you meet people when you first came to the Blockchain?
Well, I didn't really, I joined a lot of discord channels and commented, but other than the Hivers I know in person, I haven't been able to develop connections, beyond some comments here and there, I haven't interacted much. That's for various reasons, I didn't have internet before, now I'm interacting more on other posts and letting connections happen naturally the more I can delve into my interests within Hive.
¿Cómo conociste a la gente cuando llegaste por primera vez a la Blockchain?
Bueno, realmente no lo hice, me uní a muchos canales de discord y comentaba, pero, aparte de los Hivers que conozco en persona, no he podido desarrollar conexiones, más allá de algún comentario aquí y allá, no he interactuado mucho. Eso por varias razones, antes no tenía internet, ahora estoy interactuando más en otras publicaciones y dejando que las conexiones ocurran naturalmente mientras más puedo profundizar en mis intereses dentro de Hive.
Who did you admire when you first came to the blockchain?
I wouldn't know, I didn't see the publications so constantly as to admire someone, but I do remember when I came back after the creation of Hive, that the publications of @ochitoalreves caught my attention and I was a bit inspired by them for the different templates I have created in this time for my posts, also that she joined Hive just a few months before me (I don't know if she has another background in the blockchain) and her account was already very active, I liked her discipline to publish.
¿A quién admiraba cuando llegó por primera vez a la cadena de bloques?
No sabría decir, no veía las publicaciones de manera tan constante como para admirar a alguien, pero sí recuerdo, al volver tras la creación de Hive, que llamaron mi atención las publicaciones de @ochitoalreves y me inspiré un poco en ellas para las diferentes plantillas que he creado en este tiempo para mis posts, también que se unió a Hive apenas unos meses antes (no sé si tiene otro trasfondo en la blockchain) y su cuenta era ya muy activa, me gustó su disciplina para publicar.
How would you say your first three months in the Blockchain were?
A lot of confusion, both for not understanding it and for not knowing what to write about, I made several attempts with which I didn't feel good. That time I failed to keep the constancy, I ended up giving up until a year ago I started again. Those first three months were very different and gave me the push I needed to change my living conditions. It still took me a long time to find a niche where I felt good creating, publishing and consuming the content, I found that a little over a month ago when I started creating recipes and publishing every other day as consistently as I can.
¿Cómo diría que fueron sus primeros tres meses en la Blockchain?
Mucha confusión, tanto por no entenderla como por no saber sobre qué escribir, hice varios intentos con los que no terminaba de sentirme bien. Esa vez fallé en mantener la constancia, acabé por abandonar hasta que hace un año empecé de nuevo. Esos tres primeros meses fueron muy diferentes y me dieron el empujón que necesitaba para cambiar mis condiciones de vida. Todavía me tomó mucho tiempo encontrar un nicho en el que me sintiera bien creando, publicanco y consumiendo el contenido, eso lo encontré hace poco más de un mes, cuando empecé a crear recetas y publicar día de por medio de la manera más constante que puedo.
Has being part of blockchain changed you in any way for the better?
Yes, it has because I have had to learn many things, to know how to recognize the talent of others and learn from it, to not look at the value of my achievements in comparison to others but in comparison to myself; although I struggle with it, my nature is to be selfish and self-destructive, not many would agree, but it is because I consciously try to correct my thoughts and actions. Here I have also learned to value persistence even when things don't go as you expect because just as you expect something good and it doesn't happen, sometimes you expect failure and it ends up being a success. As Irene said in her post, I see my experience here as a whole and not by individual results.
¿Ser parte de blockchain te ha cambiado de alguna manera para bien?
Sí lo ha hecho, porque he tenido que aprender muchas cosas, a saber reconocer el talento de otros y aprender de él, a no mirar el valor de mis logros en comparación a otros sino en comparación a mi misma; aunque luche con ello, mi naturaleza es ser egoísta y autodestructiva, no muchos estarían de acuerdo, pero es porque conscientemente trato de corregir mis pensamientos y acciones. Aquí además he aprendido a valorar la persistencia incluso cuando las cosas no salen como lo esperas, porque así como esperas algo bueno y no pasa, a veces esperas un fracaso y acaba siendo un éxito. Como Irene dijo en su post, veo mi experiencia aquí como un todo y no por los resultados individuales.
What is your favorite memory from your time on the blockchain?
I think my favorite memory has not yet passed, I mean that right now is when I am feeling better for having found a balance between what I like and what gives good results; not so long ago I did not feel passion for anything and now I am resuming my passion for cooking, I have even been buying things, with the money generated with the publications, to go making more and more interesting recipes and not stop for the lack of basic implements.
¿Cuál es tu recuerdo favorito de tu época en la cadena de bloques?
Creo que mi recuerdo favorito aún no ha pasado, me refiero a que en este momento es cuando mejor me estoy sintiendo por haber encontrado un equilibro entre lo que me gusta y lo que da buenos resultados; hace mucho no sentía pasión por nada y ahora estoy retomando mi pasión por la cocina, incluso he ido comprando cosas, con el dinero generado con las publicaciones, para ir haciendo cada vez recetas más interesantes y no detenerme por la falta de implementos básicos.
If you could give one piece of advice to a new person signing up for Hive, What would it be?
If they don't have a clear idea yet, explore everything. Inspiration will find you working, and if you've mastered the discipline to write about anything daily or every other day when you find your passion, you'll already have much of the road covered. Writing is a habit, producing content takes time, maybe not like a "normal" job, but it will only pay off with dedication.
Si pudieras dar un consejo a una nueva persona que se registra en Hive, ¿Cuál sería?
Que si aún no tienen una idea clara, exploren todo. La inspiración los encontrará trabajando, y si han logrado dominar la disciplina para escribir sobre lo que sea a diario o cada dos días, cuando encuentren su pasión, ya tendrán gran parte del camino cubierto. Escribir es un hábito, producir contenido toma tiempo, tal vez no como un trabajo "normal" pero solo dará resultados con una buena dedicación.

You should try build a connection with people outside the people you know. It would help you out in many ways as it has helped me.
Yes, being just posting was one of the things that made me quit when I first began because it was like talking to a wall. I tried to engage then I was too busy, I tried again and the internet was way too bad that I could just make posts and it took hours to upload them, it was good when I got upvotes but it felt empty... Right now I'm working on it, I'm dedicating time to just engage and see what's happening.
I'm an extroverted introverted, so it's hard for me to look for connections, I usually just let it happen, in person just being there triggers interaction and I can go from it and I won't stop talking after that, here doesn't work like that 😅
Yeah that's the common challenge we all have. As our lives get too busy, it gets tough to be active on hive to post and engage.
I understand you very well. Including me, I see myself as an introvert because if nobody talks to me, I rarely talk to nobody. I am mostly on my own, doing my own thing.
An today, networks and connections are half of the job so, yeah, a lot to do in that area.
I remember when I first started on hive being very active on the blogging challenge, also seeing your post, I commented on some of them, but I got busy, I didn't even talk to people in person, I usually talk with the same people I know here, five and that's stretching it.
Right now I'm back on my parents house, I installed here a decent internet service so now I got at least two obstacles out of the way
Esto que dices acá es la realidad de todas las personas, me incluyo, somos por naturaleza egoístas aunque muchas veces no lo queramos reconocer, que bueno que tú lo haces y luchas contra eso, bienvenida a bordo 😎

No es fácil darse cuenta y pelear contra eso, porque se pueden controlar las acciones, no los sentimientos; pero sí cambian mucho las cosas al quitar la negatividad que uno mismo le pone.
No, el orgullo no permite aceptarlo, solo cuando vencemos ese orgullo podemos darnos cuenta de lo increiblemente egoistas que somos, pero una vez hecho es mas facil identificarlo y luchar contra el.

Nice one dear friend. Your experience were an amazing one. I was thinking you will be totally new to the platform when you started lol. But it was cool it wasn't strange to you.
And even when it wasn't strange to me, I was super confused haha. I'm glad I had a previous experience so I was able to focus on doing the content and not to figure it out. At least I knew how to create my templates haha.

Ahorita es que leo esto, que penita jajaja. Que iniciativa tan genial, de verdad me halaga bastante que haya sido una inspiración para ti al momento de diseñar tus plantillas. Y bueno, en cuanto a la disciplina no es algo sencillo al inicio, pero con el tiempo uno se va exigiendo cada vez más y es algo bastante ameno cuando observas el resultado de tanto esfuerzo. Como tú dices, aqui uno aprende bastante de otros e incluso de uno mismo, al comienzo es un poco confuso pero es algo increíble como uno se va inspirando de otros de alguna manera. De nuevo, muchas gracias por la mención, de verdad me halaga bastante ❤❤
